kato (15334km): A quick sesion at Inverloch after work.Very lumpy with the tide charging in
Andrew Daff (9318km): Had high hopes of getting a good NM and alpha today to get back to the top of the team rankings. Alas, not to be. All the results here were DURING the SHQ marathon race (unfortunately not quite long enough for a 1 hr). We did an seven lap race of a 1 km between the bouys, course figure eight style, up in the yannakie channel. (I won it ) We hit the tide perfect and it was a very nice flat fast course pretty much square reaching both ways. I was hitting 31-32 knots just before the gybe at the southern end on silky smooth water. After the race I tried for a NM but aborted and it was too square and hit a lull. After that the tide was getting too high so that was it. Starboard IS87, Lessacher Lee Woo Duo speed weed 28cm, KA Koncept 5m. Wind West around 25kts with the odd gust to 30 knots which certainly made it interesting!
Mr Love (2508km): A couple of fun slalom races at Sandy Point up near Yannakie. The boy's from SHQ ran them, thanks guys! I have never really raced slalom, and it showed. Fast in a straight line but crap around the corners. Would catch guy's on the straight just to lose them at the gybe. The fact I was on a speed board probably di.dn't help my gybes , but no excuses Came about 4th or 5th in the first one, Daffy won! Second one I got a crap start but caught right up by the first mark. Did a half reasonable gybe and again pulled in ground again to be really close at the second mark, then my boom fell off, DOH! Graet fun though, really enjoyed it , so I need to get those racing gybes nailed!!! Love Mus medium, 2011 Koncept 6.6 (sweet) KA Slalom 28
Spotty (4516km): Haa Ha Ha Snides, I think you guys have it in the bag, returned from doing the wave comp trying to pushloop 120L http://www.whitecapsphotography.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=104914629 and hit the inlet in time for a couple of races at the top end of the inlet with the very sweet 2011 Koncept 6.6, came off the plane out of a gybe in a slight lull and Daffy got the jump on us to finish 1st me 2nd. Next race was 4 laps and wind filled in more and was able to be powered up more often and came 1st with Byron 2nd from Lake Macquarie lurking behind, Daffy 3rd. Put the GPS on after the Racing and played the gusty car park run to get these numbers. pics Martin http://www.whitecapsphotography.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=104923034 Spotty http://www.whitecapsphotography.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=104923042 |
