Finally a bit of wind would say it was 15 to 20kts for a good half an hour was pretty consistant but afetr that was getting a bit gusty , pretty much an over cast today with some rain squalls nto the idelof summer weather but better than nothing.

Was a bit under finned today but waiting for some bigger sizes to arrive...

Good to sail with the crew today ,,,

Wello , Falcon 111, Warp 6.8, 39cm fin. Came late and every body was cracking, so I thought I'd be blown off the water with this gear, but of course it died down, when I hit the water. I had some decent runs though, before it died all the way down and then I was dredging for an hour or so, when a big sqall came in  for ten minutes and I was flying. I got over thirty knots for the first time in about two years and the alpha almost cracked 20. It's probably my best 10 minutes of sailing! Sorry I had to miss the barby Guys. I hope you had some fun. Merry Christmas.Wink

Well done Pierre good Alpha. I wish I could have backed you all up I had a great session the water was very flat & the wind was cranking I got out before Pierre & had some gr8 runs using my big gear I even came close to being lifted as the wind got to stong for the 42cm fin for a while. I was told I was mad using a 7.7 but it was a real blast in such flat water behind the Wello bank at low tide.

Sure will Graeme. Another day with 15 to twenty knots. I've been saying that for a long time though. Incidently my Alpha 1000 was 22knots, but Alpha 250 was only 16 knots and the min speed was 4 to 6 knots so I have some work to do on the timing of the flip. If Pierre had only still been out there to show me the lines to take I might have done something better, or if the kiters had not got in the way all the time and ruined the runs for me....wotif wotif
