JP Slalom V6 112, NP RSS IV 7.8, Vector Canefire 40

Got down at 4:00pm after looking at the wind and the forecasts and thought I would only need a 7.8 and the 2 big boards.

Big mistake, some really nice gusts coming through and the gear was a little big.

The new MK IV is brilliant didn't let go in the gusts and didn't chuck me around either, really stable and a pleasure to use.

Jesper the Vector 40 is fantastic, just hung in like glue, went fast when I wanted and pointed really well, awesome fin, on a down wind run I started to spin out, a little shallow in places for the 40, just pulled it back and bang rock solid.

Then jumped on the JP SLW90 at about 6:00pm, went for a spin on the flat water after watching SS belting around really nice sail.

Really like the MK IV, I think it is closer to the race sail this time and easier to handle.

Isonic 105/Canefire 34, Code Red 7.0 at Melville.

A great sail but far too much Christmas food and drink, consumed recently, felt sloppy and fat today should have gone faster cas the conditions were good. Diet comences right after I finish this beer (wihich is the 4th for the evening)......

Hardies, Not the day I was hoping for. Only rigged up the 7.8 which never got powered during the day. Used the RRD 112 and 40 MFC weedy, I was going to try for Nm,s today but only got a few before I collected a solid weed bank, 30knts to 0 instantly. ONly damage was to the board, ( just a flesh wound so I should be able to patch it up OK). Tried one more run on the isonic 86 but the wind was to light.

Hmmm....not a good day on one which promised so much.....

CR7.0; RRD 90; JP 30 (note to self..30 fin too small for this application!) for about 0.75km.....sideslip...crash...broken mast...loooong swim...longer walk!! Thanks to Nilss and Wog for assistance...

Then CR6.1(on only remaining mast) ; RRD 90; Choco 34 (better fin combo)...unfortunately by this time breeze had dropped so was well underpowered ...ah well...shit happens.

Exocet Cross 104L with 6.5 T4 & 38cm Vector

Then I tried the 94L Cross with 36cm Choco

Then the 5.9M Koyote with 94L Cross & 36 Choco

It seemed windy but couldn't get any real speed today.

Went out at the very end with the 5.9M, 94L & 29cm Leading Edge hoping to jag a gust but it was too lateFrown

Needed the 84L board today but left it home based on the forcast, fkn muppetsSurprised

CR6.7, Xfire102, Canfire34. Coal Mine Beach, Walpole. One of the best "soul" sails I have had in a long time. Everything clicked into place and its was good fun exploring the inlet. After underestimating the wind on Monday I rigged bigger than I might have otherwise - got it spot on! The 1hr sneeks into my top 5 Smile
