A big thanks to Pat my masseuse, who with magic fingers fixed my back so i could sail today. I only had a very short window today as i was doing the kid drop off/pick up duties so last sail was 2pm. The wind didn,t swing untill 12ish so it was a mission to get the 5 runs in especially since i was walking back most of the time (Too windy) The first 2 runs were mid 41s and very unbalanced so i grabed the weight jacket with 9kg and lucked onto the start of a squall. What a wild ride, lumps and bumps all down the course and just petrified of crashing and it just got faster the further i went. 46.2kt on the GarminTongue outTongue out   A looong quick walk back up the course to get another 2 runs before knock off time Cry The next 2 were mid 43s and then as i was sailing back another huge squall hit and i parked it on the east bank with Squid Lips. Another 1hr on the water and it could have been 2 Pbs Cry. Arrrr there is always tommorrow LaughingWinkTongue out

Awesome day - sandblasted in the crazy squalls.  got to try the small stuff - 5m Koncept, CA44 and 21.5 Kassy.  1 big stack at the end - called it quits but perhaps should have tried for one more run.....  Very impressed with Kato's peak.

Sensational Craig! Cool  You must have had your Gorrilla suit on today! Laughing

Nice average also Spotty.

Did the tide kill it just as the big squalls come through later? Prom had 60-71 knots after about 2.30pm! Surprised

Looking forward to results from Mat, Tom, Ado, Shelby..... anyone else make it?

No Shelby.  Ado and Mat smoking.  Tom there too.  Tide didn't really kill it while sailing as the wind has lots of south in at the end so smoothed it a bit (at least close to bank)...  still blinking here - trying to get the sand out of my eyes..  try goggles next time.
