Sam Doecke (16626km): Good sesh today with Carl. Got most of my speeds early while poor Carl - missed out. He was helping out old Pete. Sorry to hear about your foot Pete. Hope you are back on the water soon. Bit tired now. It was tough conditions to do k's in. Was hoping for 200. Fanatic falcon 89 / 7m loft blade and 33cm sl7. Boggy 15 - 25 knots.
Carl Macdonald (18593km): Good 1st winter front. Arrived early to no wind. Did something different had some port with Sam and talked shit. Built a fire and after that the wind kicked. For some reason i took a while to rig - maybe a little tipsy. After rigging PJ came in with a wild gash on his foot. Lucky we sail lakes otherwise he would have been a good feed for sharks. Gave him a hand to de-rig and then eventually got on the water. Hope your foot is okay PJ. Boggy lake - 15 - 25 knots. Fanatic falcon 102 / 6.3m loft blade and 33cm sl7.
Norman Clarke (3615km): What a day. Went sailing even though I was still feeling the effects of a cold so only had a short session on the Isonic 94 Vapor 6 and SL31. Jake was on my JP 106 catapaulted and broke the boom - lucky no other damage. Then PJ came in bleeding profusely from a deep gash in his foot - got too close and personal with his fin. Helped him to wrap it up, derig and send him off to the repair shop - hope you are OK PJ. Left early to get to the Aussie vs KZ soccer match - great result for the socceroos 3-0
PJ (9987km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU 05-06-11 Boggy Lake 14-24 knots WNW-6.3 Loft Blade-Fanatic SL111-C3 Sting2 38cm What an eventful day! First couple runs on 7.8m and 42cm Sting2 but overpowered then dropped to 6.3m Blade with 38 cm Sting2 fin which was just a treat. Still overpowered in gusts and had no guts or the legs to go even harder.... lol Did a fin gash to my left foot requiring 4 stiches which is throbbing now as local wears off. Like to thank Norm for bandaging me up and Sean for applying gaffa tape over the bandage as still pissing out blood. Owe Norm new first aid kit and MUST get one for myself!!! Would also like to thank Norm, Carl and Sean and anyone else who helped derig. Cut short my session but it was a goodie! ps - As I arrived Carl and Sam already there having consumed unknown amounts of anti-freeze (Port)... what a laugh pss - Comiserations to Jake who I saw swimming, treading bouncing back to shore with a smashed piece of boom in one hand pulling rest of rig with other. psss - Came in wounded and Carl still not rigged, 2 and half hours later afetr I'd first touched water. |
