Noble Park North, VIC, AU

Wally, Crazy wind, one end of lake was SW, the other SE.

Short session close to home. Still feeling the love from my mast at Swan Bay last weekend.

Haven't sailed for a couple of months so it was good to be back on the water. Used my usual rocket 105, saber 5.7, 32cm combo and felt very comfortable today. Will probably go back to a single strap at the back though, had a lot of trouble getting my foot in with 2 straps.

It was blowing most of the day, with a few lulls and a few crazy gusts as the squalls came through. A good turnout from the busters, and thankfully we all ignored Craig's advice of rigging 6+ in the morning.

Road trip to the Pit with the Invy Crew and Southerly Busters

Morning sesh Wind WSW 20 - 25 kts - F2 MFC 36cm KA Koncept 5.8.

It was gusty and when the F2 was on the plane it was great but struggled in the lulls.  Got caught for about 20 mins in some squalls and struggling to water start the F2.  Kato came to the rescue and flatten out the sail and water started straight away.  Into shore for a well earned rest.

Afternoon sess

Xcite Ride 122 C3 Venom 36 Koncept 5.8

Posted my best times and surprised that I could hold down this board in high winds.

Koncept is just a brilliant sail

Great to see Simon blasting  again after a forced lay off.

LOCATION:  SANDY POINT

WIND:  W-SW- 15-20KT

GEAR:  CA FR66 up to CA FR 77, KA KOYOTE 5.9 C# 38 cm fin

DETAILS:  Not the best day at the Pit.  Couldn't get it together and really noticed the cold.  As it turns out, I was coming down with some sort of virus, as I spent the next few days in bed.

The wind had a fraction too much West in it so it meant a bit of a struggle to get back.  Ot was also very gusty, which is wierd for a SW.

Nice speeds Simon, especially considering your back injury.

Simon it was great to see your new trick on the S type - speed submarine sailing.  Note to self - always filter Kato's advice
