Tried for a quick blast before work. Wind was very gusty and died, so I had to dog back to the car park making me late arghhhh!  Hopefully this arvo will be better.

Dorans, TAS, AU

Starboard isonic 86, KA Koncept 5.8 and Venom 34

Had the day off so was down there nice and early with Bear and Graham.

Was very gusty today but great fun in the 5-30+kts and some massive chop. The Koncept 5.8 was so sweet and handled the big gusts like a dream.

Looking forward to some flat water soon!

Had a few nice runs on a gusty south west. Made a go pro mount that can attach to the mast/boom and foot strap plus the nose of the board soon.Very easy as it just clips on, some good footage on the way.

The wind died when I got out 500m. After that it was pretty flukey with a few squalls while I was there and then picked up again just as I was packing up :-(. Nice to be on the water anyway.

This was the first time I thought it was worthwhile taking the gps as I'm actually starting to sail a little distance, but the wind made for a pretty ordinary first entry.

Updated results after removing a couple of spikes from the data and again to remove walking around carpark.

Yep, that was me -- in the wine coloured car :-). It's amusing to see that Kaleb covered more distance in his 20 minutes than I did in a couple of hours!

Great to meet you Klaas, it was a bummer about the wind.  I was shocked to see someone already there and rigging at 6am. Cool

It wasn't too cold -- my feet didn't even go numb! :-)  Although I am looking forward to spending more time above the water than in it! I did manage to pick the only two hours today where it wasn't windy.... arrggghhh!

Have faith Jez!  The one good thing is that if Hawthorn do win, you've got an excuse to punch Houston on the noseLaughing
