ratz (2075km): ![]() Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU i sonic 94 7.0 reflex 2. choco 33 weedy. one of those days going from a maelstrom to a millpond in a matter of seconds as the fronts rolled through. got a few powered up runs but nothing to get too excited about.had a few walks of shame as wind dropped out altogether. but any sail is better than going to work.
Elmo (15665km): ![]() JP Slalom VI 64cm, NP RSR EII 6.2m, JP Weed 31cm After working all day on the computer listening to the elements doing their thang outside I ventured out for a play after work. Fur coats it was two adams apples out there today, not quite cold enough for 3 but still a wee bit brisk (apparent temp 4.9-7.9). Ended up sailing with all my mates (on my Pat Malone) and had a ball, the 6.2 was nicely powered up, only stopped for about 3mins for one lull. As there was nobody else out I didn't do any bearways or long runs (gybed before the first rock garden marker) decided to practise a few gybes Quite an unexpectedly nice little session, one happy little (chubby) Muppet
Adam (7212km): ![]() Safety Bay, WA, AU Carbon Art Speed 50, Neil Pryde RS Slalom Mk IV 6.2, 23cm FO weedy Wierd one at Safety Bay, whilst rigging I recorded a gust of 40 on the beach so was looking at my 5.0 but rigged 6.2 just to be safe and found I picked it right, tide was surging back and forth changing water levels by nearly a foot in the short time I was out, went from depth checking with a 23cm to sailing through rolling swell in the same spot 30 minutes later. Bailed just before a squall hit, recorded a new PB gust of 44 on the beach within that squall |
