Choco (9631km): Very rough today, rain squalls were coming from different directions which turned the lake into a churning soup, sail was rock solid and the board - fin combo felt great in those conditions...good fun AB 59-vector ex 30 RBlade 6.3 20-40knts
Carl Macdonald (18593km): Day 1 of 3 at Lake George. Arrived to what looked like a 5.1 day with speed board. PJ, Hamma and Rick already at the end of the spit. PJ and me decided to rig at camp site and sail around the other side of the spit. Wondered why PJ took a while but he got his new Mercedes Vito van bogged. Wind moderated to 20 - 25 knots so decided on 6.3 and isonic 50 with 24cm venom. 1st run down the other side of spit in the chop was just under 35. 1st time on this combo and it felt excellent. Sailed out heading towards the bank and the wind dropped. I spent at least 20 minutes waiting in the cold water with a few nice words to say. I could see a front coming and managed to get going. Managed to hook onto the gust and saw 72.2 km on the garmin. Pretty happy but was wondering if i could get 5 x runs in. The wind kept blowing and had several 36, 37 knots runs including 1 run with PJ that ended up in a board slide after hitting a weed bombie at 37 knots. I could see another front coming and hooked another gust and saw 73.6 km on the garmin. Didn't know if it was 40 or not and i guessed the navi would adjust things. The wind was very square and not real strong so very happy with numbers. This place will definately be very fast with 30+ s - s/e. Bring on summer. Also happy to see PJ had a couple of PB's - well done. Lake George - 20 - 25 knots - s/w - s. Isonic 50, 6.3m blade and 24cm venom.

PJ (9987km): Lake George, SA, AU 29-09-11 Lake George SW 16-24 knots-6.3m Loft Blade-Fanatic SL111-C3 Sting2 36 cm Day 1 About 8 years since was last at Lake George and wow did I have fun. Met up first time with team members Hamma and Ricky who also happened to help me unbog my van (picked up as new 2 days ago). Rather embarressed but top blokes. Really cruisy day with the sun coming out and forgot what flat water is really like. Finally blew past 32.4 knot barrier. WOOT Not only did I collect a PB for peak but bonus PB's for 5x10's and NM. I'm amazed and again effortless with flat water. Last of the day went over to the middle lake (southern side of the spit) for an hour. Again it was a great blast on flattish water. Nailed most of my gybes today to:-) ps- Yeah I really thought Carl was in trouble being on his speed board drifting around, sinking in lulls but buggered or not he made the most of what wind was around:-)
