4822 days ago The day dawned with a light Nor Wester. We planned to sail the high tide for possible one hour and NM's but the wind filled in a bit late after the tide stated to drop. Went back at 4.30pm and the boys were sailing the Nor-wester up the Yanaki channel. Rigged my 5.7 but as I did the wind seemed to increase so I rigged the 5.0 and took the IS86 with Lassecher 28 Duo speed weed. The aim was to crack a 30 knots NM but in the end I have 4 over 31 and a 29 so very happy.
I recon Mat will have pretty much the same so with a bit of luck it should flip us into first place by one point!
Looks like a nice day coming up tomorrow as well with WSW 18-25. Could be good for 1 hours and Alphas and maybe high 30's speed runs or maybe a 40 if there are any squalls. Got to love this place.
