Nice numbers on the ocean there John! Nudging very close to the mighty 30 knot NM!

See you out there soon.

Didnt see any weed. It was great. Used an upright fin which is always a luxury on the coast.

The RSX crew (that dont already know) will be spewing when they realise South Beach is a weed fest. Maybe if they hand out collection bags with bonus points for the number of tons of weed gathered it might make the water nice and clean for a few days after the event! I'm fulla good ideas.

good idea but it's been done before i'm sorry to say, they had to do it with the 2008 olympics in china

the month before hand all the photo's of training looked like everyone was sitting in their boats on the grass at the yacht club but they are actualy in the water and surrounded with algae and no wind so there isn't even a trail of clean water behind the boats. none of the locals were allowed to fish for three weeks or so right up to the event cause the government made them go out on their boats everyday and pull in as much algae possible, they had just enough space for the courses and event

not quite the photo i described but you get the idea

wow i'm really surprised you had no weed would have been awesome out there then

rsx would be ridiculous in weed, their not the easiest boards to pop 70 cm out of the waterFoot in mouth

49er's a bit hard to pop as well thoughEmbarassed

so what you recon slowy your gonna make me 2 carbon weed fins for my 49er ? Wink

about 1.2 m deep centre board and 1m of rudder ought to do it

shame firstly thats not legal and secondly they wouldn't go through the centre case or rudder box

might have a slight detrimental effect to the handling of the boat too Undecided
