Great sail at the home track today. Spewing i didnt quite make 100km.. ah well, didnt reset the trip meter so had no idea how far i had gone otherwise i would've kept going for a few more runs. Headed out and Dazza was out flying around, caught up with him and headed up to the entrance then a big downwinder back. It was getting too shallow on the inside run even at mid tide so headed out to the new outer channel & middle entrance. Stayed there for the rest of the session and had a great play. The tide was really racing out there early, old salty drifted 200m down the run almost as fast as he was sailing, luckily the current put him into the bar otherwise he was heading for Tassie. Once it started to turn and slow down it was nice.
Was on track for a 20+ 1 hr, but Simmo waved me over to him, turns out he had a broken boom. Stuffed my 1 hr... thanks simmo, plus tried to look at my GPS while sailing, there is obviously a technique for it cause as soon as i tried i was in. Without those 2 little episodes i reckon it was a PB 1 hr. Chased Kato around for the rest of it, Just an all round great fun session.
Isonic 101, 7.4 Koyote wind 12kts ish S, the odd gust that maybe hit 15. Interesting seeing the tracks on Google earth, http://www.ka72.com/viewge.aspx?fid=21188&tid=0 they really need to update our area apparently i was sailing on sand for quite a bit and the bank i was sailing against is the middle of the old channel.

Yep wasn't in the mood or groove today. Dan's was right I reckon at times the tide took me quicker. But I did get out the back to a new speed run. What do we call it guys?? A couple of runs and my arms run out of juice and headed back to safer waters.
S 12 - 15 kts
Xcite Ride 120
Gaastra 8.5 - reckon I might have had too much downhaul on it.
Venom C3 40 cm fin. Spun it out twice!

LOCATION: ANGLING CLUB
WIND: S_SW- 10-15 KTS
GEAR: SUPer12'6, KA KOYOTE 8.2
DETAILS: Started on Carbon Art but the wind was patchy so jumped on the SUP with every intention of swapping down when the wind filled in. Ended up staying on the SUP for the whole day. The shallow draft allowed me to edge onto the outer bank and run in between the two sand spits. The width was only about a metre and a half accross but the water was absolute glass. Got the SUP planing but came to an abrupt halt at the end when I hit the sandbar.
Beautiful long runs up to Pensioners Point then back dpwn to the red mark on the outer.
I slotted in to the Dinghy race after the start and matched speed with the Catamarans at the head of the fleet on the Close Reach. The upwind sability of this board is amazing!
