Peel Inlet, WA, AU

fun day with Cheryl sailing around alpha land...wind was pretty sth and had some enormous

sub 5knot holes in it! at times.

never managed to nail any reasonable alphas,

the area was as choppy as ii have ever seen it.

was good to catch up and sail with a few crew.

had a 35.2 on the dial but got punished in the software..

never mind all goodSmile

Had very limited time today so sopted for a quick blast at Melville. Very gusty but some nice little squirts coming through which had me well lit at times on North Warp F11 7.0, Manta 49 and Lockwood 23.

I'm not normally one to go on about my gear but I have to say jumping back on the Manta 49 today was pure pleasure. I have been sailing the JP45 a bit and while it may have a bit more in the absolute top end, the Manta is so much nicer to sail. Always incredibly easy to gybe and just so easy through the small Melville chop - you feel like you never have to back off. Handles the 7.0 with ease. There is just no other board like it it I reckon.

Wicked day all up!

Dunedin harbour... NZ. Another 10 rounds of slalom today. Spewing cos I had to rig both sails. Started on the 7.8m pretty lit on the big board, then down to 6.2m again. oh... I have no idea how fast we were going Wink

Istack was having a good day until he used his fin to slice a few pieces of pear before realising it was actually his foot.

The racing setup is unreal. I am broken after 3 days in a row. 24 rounds done. 4 to go. Is it enough?

Short session at Melville. Rigge for the lulls and was maxed in the gusts. A good crowd out - Ado was flying!

The kites where bad enough but throw in a couple of free stylin wind surfers and  you got 3 different agendas,  had a couple of close calls and to many aborted runs to make it enjoyable so tried a few nm runs all 3 ended prematurely and violently, the chop there is far more unruly than Leighton making it impossible to pick your way through at any speed, melville looks like it was a resonable choice !

We need to establish a colony of kite-destroying pelicans at Woodman Point. Who can help with this? I'm happy to chip in and surely a few others will be too?

I'm in Ado, now we just need some evil genius to genetically engineer this breed of kite-killing pelicans. Tongue out
