Recycle (10709km): Leighton Beach, with murray Ado Craig and Nic nice sea breeze for a change ,nicely powered on the 6.7,have been considering up dating sails but am terrified non will live up to let alone eclipse the trusty evo1 6.7might just have to wait till it self distructs and there is no choice rsr6.7 iso86 tectonics f32
Claude Lecoq (22230km): Pelican Pt, late start lots of traffic at Peli so sailed up river to Melville for a while and blast back Peli was fun, best speeds at Peli with more consistant wind. IS90, RIII 7.0, 34 GW.
Chris Adamson (11668km): Leighton Beach, WA, AU Had a fairly significant hangover today so it took some effort to remove myself from the couch and make my way gingerly to Leighton, where a nice juicy 20 knot seabreeze was blowing. Good to see 6 or 7 blokes out and heaps of fun beiung had. Despite being well below my best, the adrenaline got flowing and there was the odd scary moment. Conditions were perfect for a 7.0 so it still amazes me more people don't sail in this magic spot instead of the scungy river. Norts was flying as usual so well done on another 30 knot NM - quite a feat of skill and bravery out there. Craig spilled some blood but took it well - I am quite sure it won't be the last time this happens so best get used to it. Manta 59 / Warp 7.0 / Talon 32
Slowboat (25967km): some wind at Melville! Used the 7.8m- not because it was too windy for the 8.6m, but because it was getting dusty and needed a wash. Usual patchy conditions so started on the 82cm board with 47cm fin. That felt sweet. Was getting nicely lit in some of the gusts so I changed the fin down to 38cm as an experiment. It worked really well. Didnt feel too small with 7.8m. Then I got onto the 91 with an old 29cm carbon fin which was way too small most of the time on 7.8m. This fin is pretty sweet when its 5.5m weather. So I changed to my new 29cm fin design, and that was heaps better for bottom end. Had some nice runs on this when the bullets came through. Nice day of hunting bullets on the river. Almost a normal seabreeze!
