Kyeemagh 20 knots NE

Starboard S-Type 126, Loft Switchblade 8.5, 40cm Talon

Carbon Art SL58, Loft Switchblade 6.8, 35cm Select S05

Great fun day with Rexy out in the sun! We had a few warmup runs then had a blast across to Kurnell where the wind was around 25 knots. We de-tuned our sails for the run back (8.5 and 7.5 was quite a handful). Nice distance from Rexy today, stay tuned... (Oh, and please stop overtaking me down the runway...)

Kyeemagh, NSW, AU 10-25 knots NNE.

An awesome sail today. Met Michael down at Kyeemagh around 11 ish and we waited 20 minutes or so for the wind to start coming. Went out and didn't stop from there. Had an absolute ball. Did a run over to Kurnell and discovered it was around 25 knots or so over there and both of us were struggling to hold down our sails so we both cranked on some down and outhaul and headed back to Kyeemagh. We made it in 1 reach both ways so that was pretty cool. Spent the next hour or so just blazing around Kyeemagh as the crowd grew and then went and grabbed a banana and a drink and grabbed my smaller board. Sailed that for an hour or so and had a quick chat to Mike who said I needed to get to 54nautical miles to break the 100km barrier. I was at 42 so I went back out again and sailed purely to get to that number. My hands were so sore it really hurt to hold on but i really wanted a pb today so I just grit my teeth and kept going. Got to 55. something and said that'll do me.

Stayed on my Koncept 7.5 the whole day and flicked between my Falcon 90 with a 35 Black Project type R and then onto the Falcon 80 with a 31 Casper GPS. Thought I had done a better peak speed than that but not to worry, a PB is a PB.

My hands are so sore, I'm such a wuss Kiss

Sunny day for a change!!!, gusty and weird for moments but nevertheless good fun with the usual suspects, chuckles, Al, Kenny, Larko, Mr Chairman, Meno, John, and a mighty crazy numb-nut that got us all quite pissed off, specially Larko

Long time since I've sailed again, but nice to see everyone out again especially Grant persisting with his injury.

Kyeemagh. Wind came & went, then came back.

Good first half hour, then burst/slog. On the SuperX 116, Gun 5.8 (need a 6.6) Maui 36 B&J.

Missed the gusts on the runway - better luck next time

Makes a change to get out

Sunshine, blue sky and actually some wind. Heaps of punters out including one wanker who copped an earful but wouldnt have a clue. What an idiot!!

Probably too big a board in the end but Marty and I had some good fun runs early on with the wind filled in across the pond. pretty choppy today with all the guys out so the knee copped a bit of a bounce which made me tentative & slowed me down a bit. Thought I had better 2 sec, oh well. Al G got the gust of the day, told ya your missus wouldnt pop until you'd had a sail. Good fun day!!

Chris from Palmy was smoking on his new Falcon 113 and North Warp.

Falcon 121, 7.8 RSR Evo III, 40 Talon.

Nice to get out of the house and see the sky for a while (ahead of the mild storm front).

Excoset 91L, 7.0m TR6 & 32cm fin.

Peak speed at 29kts weas shortly followed by massive but safe (thank God) spin-out.

All in all just nice to get out and have some fun.

Kurnell, NSW, AU

Supersport 118 / 7.8 RS MK4 slalom / 36 Flying Objects.

Great afternoon at kurnell. wind was really cranking at times. Sail was a little over powered but im pretty impressed how much control it still has even in 25Knots  of wind. I tried out someones RAM for a couple runs and it felt super light in comparison (but half the power) The sail wanted to accelerate more but the supersport just couldnt hold that kind of speed in the chop.  typical - the one day i leave the 92 slalom at home is the day  that would have suited it best.

Starboard isonic 131, ka koncept 9.5

Got there when all the boys were leaving. Wind was dieing but what choice did i have. Home with the wife and 2 kids or go for a sail. I dont think theres any need to answer that boys.

My 9.5 is a monster of a sail. It was pulling my arms of in those gusts. My guns were looking quite good post sail Wink

The end.

Well done on kms Rex. Let bygones be bygones. It's amazing how the wind picks up as you sail over to Kurnell. Where a 7.5 is needed at Kyeemagh a 6.6 would be perfect a Kurnell. What happened at Narrabeen Lake? My van and myself were pressed into moving house activities for a mate. I was spewing as I saw the wind picking up.

Hey Adam, glad we came down to the '"point" after the Sailing Club. Another awesome wind for a change. We had a couple of nice screaming runs back in together. Pretty sure it was the run in that I peaked the 33k..Glad you got to post a good result as well. It won't matter now if you can't upload that other corrupted file from Smith's! Getting those extra knots in the 2 sec.peaks are pretty hard. Good work on your results guys !!Smile

Cheers Mark & thanx Gabe. Yep that run mate, we were pushing it. Great fun ah? I knew you had me on it though, as I could hear the water chattering from behind and getting ever louder. Tried to go a little deeper for some more speed and then you went over the top and blew me off the water.Foot in mouth Well done on your PB, nice one!Wink Here's my Google pic from the sesh earlier from the sailing club. No great speeds for me here, too gusty and off. We did 20+kms from there though, so thats 70+kms for the day. Not a bad day at all really?
