Sans Souci, NSW, AU

JPSS-127-  Loft6.6 02 - Lightning 44 fin

Back in the water finally for a short session.

So Confused as what to rig ended up smallish sail bigish board. Ended up under power but nice and floaty.

Nearing 20knts at times but Lucky to be about 15 when I was up at the strip. Didn't quite get a run.

Good practice getting up wind underpowered tho.

Very broard on the speed run, not much good.  Gusty, gusty, gusty. But a great days sail.

Sandringham about 20 knots S-SW

Starboard S-Type 126, Loft Switchblade 8.5, 40cm Talon

Carbon Art SL58, Loft Switchblade 6.8, 35cm Select S05

Like the others said, the wind was too broad for it's strength - I just wasn't powered up running down the strip. So many holes!

Got a 34.30 on the screen of my GT-31 but had reset it to factory last time and hadn't gone through all the 5 million settings you have to make to set it up properly so I'm not sure it's a valid reading.  I couldn't get the data to read on the computer (.SPD format???).  If anyone knows how to convert this to .SBN I would appreciate it.

Hi Andrew, shame about the gt31..

A bit of googling:

Likewise, when you finish a session, go the the MISC menu and select the SAVE TO CARD item and then the SAVE ALL item. This will save the .sbp file from the logger to the SD card as well as the genie .spd text file with all the max speeds and max 10 sec speeds.

So do you have the .sbp file aswell? Realspeed can open these files. If you don't have realspeed, you can send it top me and I can send you the results.

(nice speed btw!)

Thanks Mike.  I think that would have worked too, had I not gone through the 5 million steps to setup the GT31 later that night - one of which includes formatting the card Yell.  I hate those bloody gps units.  Just about the least user-friendly things I've ever used.
