4593 days ago Foreshore Rd, Good fun to be out, plenty of wind and then plenty of holes. The holes did not last to long and some of the gusts were wicked, could not run down the runway to far as it was a bit bumpy. A good number of guys out! Big Ric was smokin!
New NPX Assassin wetsuit!!!~! OMG changed my winter sailing life, so darn warm. Thanks WSnS, hmmm toasty!

Gusty WNW Breeze best caught at Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU
I missed the peak breeze, rigged a 5.5 then saw the wind drop... so sailed a 7.0 for about 5 runs before my al boom broke.
Never buying aluminium again. As far as I'm concerned, Aluminium is for cans. Urgh.
At least I made it back to shore on one boom arm. Managed 30.6kts on the 7.0 before it broke.
Went back out on the 5.5 after that (no choice really) and thankfully the wind picked up.
Never reched 30 kts again, until after everyone else left and I gave it one last go before I derigged.
And wow there were a few good gusts, and I hit 33kts (33.6peak). Hurray.
Ohh and we had to be careful not to annoy the airport security, what with the smoothest water being along the buoy line.
32cm Nitro fin
Exocet RS2 91L (sank in a few lulls < 5kts)
Various TR Maui sails
1 broken gun boom from 1999.
Berowne.

Ahhhhh good ole Narrabeen pond in a westerly. I'm not going to complain about the gustyness cause I've sailed there enough times to know what to expect. Water was surprisingly mild compared to what I was expecting. Rigged too small for the lulls but it was about right for the gusts. There is just such a disparity between the 2 that it's hard to have the right compromise.
Anyway, happy with the speed and good to sail again since an injury on Anzac Day.

Quick session with the guys before I had to go. Wind was 15-30kts from the west. Tried my new 2009 Falcon 79 out today. That board is quick. Really worked well with the 6.2

I had the alarm set for 5:30, but got up at 5 - just too excited! Left home in the dark, saw first light on the woollongong freeway and saw the sun as I rigged up by 7am. I went out on the 5.0 and it was just too much. I had to come in for a break and let the wind settle for 20 mins. What a great day to christen the new board! Thanks for the fin Leo (again). Thanks for the booties Keef (again).
Huge respect to Leo - the most committed sailor I know!

Still too crook to hook in and have a really good crack. Nice westerly wind & so I had a bit of a cry watching all the guys out having sooo much fun after I came off feeling sorry for myself. T. Ford, Andrew, Mr Flanigan, Remmi, R. Murry all carving it up big time! C. Ting turned up late. I came off the water not long after heading out. Nice new NP semi dry wet suit though, happy with that. Think I might wear it to bed tonight! Thanx Windsurf & Snow
