Good sesh at gloryholes. Overdone on the 5.9. Rigged the 5.5 with the 47 and was comfy. Still got out of control on a few ocassions. Scared myself on a few ocasions so all good. Had a few gusts go through. hit the road for home before it got smooth.

Great fun at cheeseys, hearing Tom's rebel yell of triumph, vieing with the sight of Mitch stuck up to his waist, for the event of the day.

I thought I'd be smart and rig for the midrange of the gusty conditions, 5.3 on the 48 with the 23 lockwood. Turned out I was under done in the lulls and over powered in the gusts. I just couldn't keep the power down to take full advantage of the strongest wind, didn't worry Tom though he looked rock solid and flying.

A very funny day watching my son Mitch trying to get out of the mud at yoyos and thanks to Decrepit for draging him out the wife may be a bit pissed if i came home without him. Met and sailed with some great guys just a shame the tide was so high glory holes Australind wa

Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU

CA SP50, RSR 5.0m and reflex3 6.2m, 28fireblade

Mental conditions at the local today. Huge storm surge produced some serious mogals to bump and jump over. I started on 5.0m as on arrival crasher was changing down to his 5.5m. Spent a few hrs trying to stay on some kind of shape while sailing over some very nasty chop. It then backed off to a pleasent 25knt so i changed up to the 6.2m. It was rock solid in the gusts and i got my best speeds on the first run on the 6.2m By now it was just Lao Shi and i. Lao came in to rig his 6.3m and it came in very hard again. i hung onto the 6.2m but came in and plugged in the 5.0m for a final assult on the chops.

The highlight for me was durring one squall i was going at full noise through a slightly smoother patch when i hit some short sharp chop so hard my vision went blurySurprised

Cool  Gr8 stuff Tom, was so hoping u guyz got it good, kicked in so hard at Australind, 35kts with Mogul Chop, Crasher at that stage could only manage 29's, I thought I hope this has come in at Cheesies!!  You've made me regret leaving, though 4 me too many times skunked at that place with last 3 times getting a Sinus Infection, just couldnt motivate myself to stay!!

Nice to meet Rob and Mitch at last. Looked like Benderland was coming good around 3pm, I was having trouble making up my mind about going out again, a big cold rain squall decided me. A nice hot shower seemed the best option for washing the mud off.

Bender, LaoShi JJ and Rob all seemed to be flying, interesting to see what they've got.

Great stuff, Tomski on the PBs!Cool Glad Yoyo's turned it on for you.

I tried hard to catch you but couldn't quite make it. Still, chuffedInnocent to be top Bendyland speedster for the day!Surprised

Although crasher would have monstered it at the end if he had stayed.

Good to catch up with a bunch of the Mob and meet Rod and Mitch.

Thanks, Elmo, for the sacrifice.Laughing

aaaaaaah has anyone heard from him lately? Or has be been dissolved by some nasty pathogen overnight... Nobody knows whats going to happen after exposure to that sludge. The smell... Yoyo's was apply named due to insisting on a trip there one day. We both sailed there that first time we knew of, and it was pretty clear there was good potential. I was very tempted to go there with Australind as the backup plan, but the high tide made Australind a messy day like the last time I was there. Good to know its got enough water in it!
