Wallis Lake, NSW, AU. Very gusty 15-18 knots dropping 12-15 knots in the afternoon. At least we were planing and 9 people on water, so good fun and a nice sunny day.

A perfect winter's day, sun shining, breezy but a tad more would have been nice.W -  WSW 12 -18k at first, then easing to 5- 12k and the odd 15k gust. Falcon SL104, Curtis 34 weedy 6.5 GTX at first. Rigged up to a7.9 Vapor(thanks Greg!)for it's first run with the same board but 42 Select weedy. Good bottom end and nice on the gusts with good staying power. Will work on the settings.

Amazed to see so many on water today. Welcome to the Marauders, Hamish! Hope your GPS turns up soon! Tell Peter he looked pretty quick on those good gusts.

Go Marauders!!!!Cool

8.0 GTX, old Fanatic 282 Falcon, 34cm upright fin.  Interesting combo in 12 - 15 kts, went suprisingly well.  Lake was clean and clear with only a little bit of weed.

Sandy Point, Vic, AU. Went out around 2 pm with Spencer, tide was half way out so sandbars were starting to be exposed. Hit it with 5.7 Koncept and was totally blown off the water, spewin!!Didnt have time to rig smaller, had to head home.

Great experience with good mates at Sandy. Johnny and I were hit hard with the flew. It hit me Thursday night and Johnny on Saturday night still recovering now, both of us,  especially after the 14 hour drive home. Still a great spot to sail in most directions just need the tide low. Speed strip looks epic. Next time i go down i will take the family and spend some more time there.

Big thanks to Millers Mrs, Lydia for helping us with everything.

Looks like a nice strength, if it comes through. It just needs to be a SW-er. I saw Milsey and Micks's post for the 14th. and they looked good for the wind they got. Flat water and nice speeds !!

As long as its windy though, who cares!! Smile

Bit more wind Matt and that would fly! Nice speeds for what we got anyway. The weed was light today and very shallow in spots with the low tide.

Yea, had to be real careful with the sandbank.  When the board did get up and go properly, the weight of the sail kept the board from railing up and was riding flat and quick.

Was that a 34cm fin?   Not too hard to get going? I was just scraping  some low weed with my 34 weedy at the odd time today, out in the middle and had  a short close encounter with the sandbank at one point too.

The fin's actually 35cm but over the years it's lost about a cm off the tip.  Only spunout once and that was because of weed on the fin.

Milsey and Mick, Brought our average up. Good on ya.

Gained some good experience at Sandy point and hopefully worth the drive down, just for a taste of that ball bearing flat water ... It's so smoooth!. Bummer about the wind and tide combo while you were there. Better luck next time, and get well soon, too. We need you guys back on water when your well. Cheers!

Were gettin' quite a few people sailing up here now.Give us a call anytime you want some company on water. There's about 5 days from Friday with around 20k's of wind.At this stage Sat. would be the pick, with a straight southerly at 20+k. Nice and flat out wide from the Great Lakes Sailing Club. You'll need your weedys. 65542424 or (0419) 410216.
