col (5162km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Yeah some wind at last. Started out on the Fanatic 111/Blade 7.8 then switched to the 101/RII 7.0 for an hour. Best speeds on the 1st combo. Just happy to be out sailing after a long drought. Congrats to Ray gun for cracking the 30 today. | ||||||||||||||||||
ray gun (5342km): ![]() Melville Beach, Iso111, OD7.5, Fo42- Iso111, OD6.5, CF38, Iso94, OD6.5, GW33 Fully friggin stoked, finally did it woo hoo. Monkey is off my back. Got to river about 10.15, just me and Grumpy rigging up. Went with the first combo and after a couple of passes to test the depth of the water, which was making me a bit nervous with the 42 in, first real run felt fast and when I checked the gps saw 31.25 Back to car for a warm coffee and change down. Rigging 6.5 and cams wouldn't stay on, upon closer inspection bottom cam was broken so raided the 6.0 for another and all good. changed fin to 38 as well. A few more on the water by then with Col, Anita, Grant and the slow one rigging up to join the party. Wind was starting to really fill in by then and had a few more 30's and 31's on the gps but nothing better. had some lunch and decided to put the 94 in the water, had some fun on that for a while but was feeling a bit shagged so called it quits just before 3.00. got packed up just before the rain came. Great to get some wind on my week off and catch up with my like minded friends

SOMEPUNK (3264km): ![]() Melville Beach WA Like most just happy to be out sailing again! Typical frontal weather in that no matter what gear you are on it goes from too much, to too little, to just right within minutes and it happens dozens of times in a session! Happy with the numbers all the same.
Good to see Raygun out and posting some PB's. Nice one Bruva. Nearly all the usual suspects around and great to shoot the breeze and talk cod sh..t just like old times. 2012 Starboard I-Sonic 80 Wood, 2012 Severne Reflex III 6.2 (first use and was awsome), Flying Objects Nitro 32 |

Congrats Ray Gun. You'll be doing 30 easy now.
Thanks for the test ride Col. I love the way that sail locks in when its powered up.
