Marmong Point - W/NW 15 - 30 knots.  Falcon 89, Maui Sails 5.9, Gasoil 32 fin.

Choppy conditions in very up and down conditions.  My setup ate up the conditions with a few on the edge moments at peak speeds.

Great day of sailing.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

Why was it I went up to Marmong today?  Must have been a reason.... oh that's it, I love gusty, shifty, W-NW wind, cold water & falling in.  Makes Canton look good & Steve's 38K look fantastic. Couldn't buy a gybe & never seemed able to get a good bear away.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

iSonic 97, Mauisails Titan 6.5, Deb 38cm - Wind NW 15-25 kts

Tried sailing from a new spot near the art gallery, a bit upwind from the tip of Marmong Point.  Much better spot, easier water access, wind cross onshore.  nice!

Great to rack up a few kms on the isonic.  slowly adjusting footstraps, mast position etc and its feeling really nice.  Still not that easy to break 30 kts, only just made it today.  Lots of 28s, 29s!  Great to sail with the whole crew - 2 weeks of slalom sailing in a row.

Well spotted Johnny, had a look in the record books and Steve's Hr and Alpha are the best on record for anyone from NSW!  And number four in the country for Alpha.

I think I know who to ask for gybe lessons. Cool  well done steve.

Pitty you guys didn't get down earlier in the day!  Solid 30 knots for a couple of hours.  Averaging 35-36 knot runs on both tacks.  Probably one of the best westerlies I have sailed at marmong.

By midday it started to get very gusty.

James, that new spot looked good, though the wind seemed to be 5 knots lighter then off the point.
