4379 days ago A decent day of sailing at last! Must be 4-5 months since the last one. About 8-9 sailors in pretty good westerlies, with some gusts then dropouts with the sqalls that came through. Started on on my Lorch 93 with Koyote 5.3, then X-Cite 110L, which was better. Went up to 6.5 when the wind dropped, then it picked up and was overpowered for a while. Sailed the rest of the day on the 5.3.

Started out on KA Koyote 5.9 with JP Super Sport Pro 118, could not get in the groove...problem was I think I was over finned... had the 42cm on...and an upright too !
As the gusts came in and through, rigged the 7.4 KA Koyote, but lasted 2 mins before Robbie kindly gave me the 6.6...
Thats better... managed to get settled and had a few good blasting runs when the wind was up.

F2 Axxis, Select 43cm fin. Started out on KA Kaos 4.7, really underpowered. Spent most of the day on Micks Ka Koyote 5.9... Thanks Mick.
Good runs on the sand bars with Red and Jacques.

Second sail of the day - Pete and Dan. Dan spectated while Pete and I had a quick splash then we all went back for refreshments and to watch the VFL Grand final - C'arn the Boroughs - sadly not to be!!

GEAR: Carbon Art Fr 77, KA Koncept 6.4, Makani Hahalua- 33cm weed
Details: Good to visit the Point again....nice long runs and a high tide meant you could sail anywhere to start. Wind was a bit inconsistent but still great fun. Managed to get a good gybe in on the flat section...just like the big boys do!!!!
Finally got to tune the Koncept 6.4 up and got it feeling sweet just as the wind died!
