Drift (5307km): LOCATION: ANGLING CLUB WIND: W < 20 kts with WSW fronts to 25 knots GEAR: Ca Fr 77, KA Koncept 6.4, Makani Hahalua 33 weedie DETAILS: Sneaky start of weeky sail with Daz, Naz and Wendles. Decided to run the weedie so I could get over the banks but it proved to be a bit loose when trying to drive upwind. Had some nice downwind runs on starboard tack and pulled off another powered up gybe. It got choppy on the incoming tide and there was next to no flat water. Took off on a run with Daz behind me and managed to get into the back strap on take off. When I went to slip into the front strap the chop moved the board and I missed completely, slamming into the side of the board then catapaulting forward. Nursing a nice 10cmX10cm black bruise on my leg today!!! | ||||||||||||||||||
Dan_P (4440km): Sandy Point, VIC AU Fun day down at the Pit for Speed Fortnight. Got to work at 8:30, turned my computer on, got a coffee, Spoke to Garry & Kato on the phone and ended up at the Pit 35mins later!! Wind was too W for good speeds, but it was great fun cruising around. Had one go on the IWC speed board, but it was slower than my slalom kit. iSonic 86slim, 5.9 Koyote, Venom 30cm. Was great to meet a new bunch of NSW crew as well as catching up with the others who appeared last year. Fingers crossed for a heap more days over the next 2 weeks. |
