Peter (7156km): Kalmus in S winds at low tide - lovely. Wind was a bit lower than expected, but enough to get going on XFire 90 with Matrix 5.5. Got the board dialed in a bit better today, or maybe it was just the lower water level and more southerly wind. Can't wait to sail it on really flat water with a race sail and strong winds.
Dani Sfeir (1861km): Falcon 101, Ka Sail 5.8, Select fin Gasper 31. I strated the day with a 5.0 and Falcon 89 for few run, was not enough wind, than had to switch to bigger 101 and a 5.8. Wind was not steady at the cove gust come broken not enough for a real down wind run. Over all it was a wonderfull day
Flad The Inhaler (1296km): Finally felt comfortable in the river in 4.5 conditions -- Naish Edge and Starboard Carve 99. This sail I have rigged maybe three times all season but now I sailed on it three times in the last eight days. Good speed runs on the south side in the river don't result in personal bests, but 28 mph in the river texture is a hoot! As the wind backed off and the holes got bigger, I put the 4.5 on the 135 Carve instead of rigging up -- lazy mans re-rig -- and it was a great combo for the second hour. And a bonus shorty wet suit day in late September. |
