hoppy (4588km): Stansbury, SA, AU SW-SSW 12-18knots
sputnik, raf np 5.4, 30 weedy
Was happy to see a steady southerly blowing and rigged small for the forecast 25knots at midday. It didn't arrive, but there was enough in it for a really good session. The water was flat enough to cruise and was inspired by pete's marathon effort the other day so did k's. Tricky sailed as well and had a good work out too. Hope this southerly reached the rest of the team. cheers | ||||||||||||||||||
Tricky (3458km): Stansbury CA101, 5.8 Koncept, 30 LE Weedy. Rigged for the forecast that never made it. Was under done most of the time struggled to get back on the plane but once on was nice cruising! Wow what a session 4 hours & Jeff had a 30m head start on me hoping to make triple figures on the Km's but alas Bugger dam blast 600 meters short. Had a great sail with Jeff today

Carl Macdonald (18593km): Arvo sesh at Boggy Lake. Wind was 10 - 15 knots so rigged 8m Hot sail GPS and used '12 fanatic falcon 113 and Black Project 425. Nice cruise on big kit until BANG - mast broke . Al least it happened after gybing in shallows near launch area. Good to see a nice turnout and no hitting carp. Bring on the seabreezes.... |
