Windy, windy, windy! Fun sesh at Queens with Mark J, Mark H and another fellow who's name eludes me. Near glass off to start then the wind came in nicely for an hour or so around 15 knots, then it hit turbo mode and flogged me for the final 30 minutes with gust in the high 20's. Straight line survival mode at the end. Was good to get wet and sail some flat water.

Congrats Mark J, you were hooning across the south east bank! Will talk to you soon about a Hotsail.

Cheers

David getting back ,just as we left , wind squals over 30knots

Well , thanks Mark Hampton for steering me to queenslake today , started of terrible soon as i hit the water the wind droped and swang to the south  , but soon picked up by the time it was to head home it was survival weather , 1 metre swell and and huge down wind run from the mud bank .

Finally had some wind at Queens and got to experience the flat water Steve and Mark where talking about , ye ha what a hoot

Sailed with Mark J, Steve, Phil & Dave.

Awesome day at Queens!

Big Thank You Mark for the lift to Queens & Back! Have to get some roof racks for my Car very soon!

My  Pb was a survival run back from the mud bank in chop! Have not sailed for so long now I was not fit for the big Blow!

Great day sailing with the Guys!

I-Sonic 101, 6m VMG, 31 JP weed.

Wallis Lake, NSW, AU. 3 sessions today. One with 6m and Fanatic 102, S/SW 15 - 20 kts and too shallow to sail the flat weed banks. Then it picked up. Down to 5m and Carbon Art 93, nicely powered up to 25 knots. Last session wind had shifted to S/SE so very choppy, but still fun. Strongest wind for ages, but not going for any great speed as too much confused chop. 11 sailors on water was great for socialising.

What a nice day! Some decent wind today, SW -SSW 15 -20 up to 25k+ on some gusts.Good crowd today, with about 12 on water during the day.Fanatic SL104 Select SO7 32 GTX 6.5, then rigged down to 5.5Vapor, Hawk LTD.93 and Select Evo27.

Regret not bringing the SL79, as today had no weed and was very lowtide and flat this morning. The lowest tide I've seen!Still, a good days sailing was had all round.Did get quite choppy and gusty later on as more  water came over the weed banks.

Port Macquarie, NSW, AU, JPsl92, overdrive 6.0, jp sl3 30cm. Sailed at blackmans point. Tide very high and no flat water, chop was steep and there was plenty. Bit of weed in the water also as sailed just on the top of the high. Super Gusty 0 to 25kts. Had heaps of fun, unfortunately didn't have time to go to queens like some of the boys, maybe next time.

Started on my 6.5 GTX on a custom 70lt ish slalom board and 24cm BP Type S, the combo felt really good except for the confused water state, 1 run out and back on this sail.  Changed down to 5.5 Vapor with same board and fin, a lot more control

Steve Bassett (11026km):

Got down to Queens Lake early to find a consistent 15 -20 knot southerly. Got on the water had a few good runs then the wind went incededibly gusty 0-20 knots. Mucked around for an hour , then decided to give Watsons Taylors a go. Wind was more consistent at 15-18 knots but soon realised it was way to shallow, mostly knee to shin deep. Gave it a go had a couple of runs but soon found a rock and took the tip of my fin. Gave up and while de-rigging the wind swung more Se so headed back to Queens Lake to find the guys already out and ended up having a good sail . Had my first proper sail of my Isonic W53 speed board today and was very happy.

F2 sx small, Isonic W53 , Gaastra 6.7m Vapor, Ka 5.7m Koncept,Lessacher 28cm weedy, now 27.5cm.

Well done Phil on the full house of PB's, Mark we'll be chasing that speed for a while! Well done also to Mark H, Chris and Gabe for your PB's as well.

I could have stayed on the 6.5 if the water was flatter and the small fin helped keep the board from flying away off the chop.  The 5.5 made the board ride a bit higher on the water and was more comfortable rattling over the back of the chop plus cutting back upwind through it.

Cheers Mr Sausage, Matt, Gabe and Dion.Smile I have to say I'm amazed at the speeds all you guys sail at! 30 knots seems impossible, and all you guys push over that most days!! Amazing. With a new sail coming - just ordered a 6.0 meter Hot Sail Speed Demon of Mark Jordan- I hope to push into the high 20's and maybe one day crack 30Surprised. The old slither of a wave sail was near red-lined yesterday...lol

Damn it looks like I missed a corker! It was very windy on the other side of the Great Divide too - knew you guys would have scored given how cold and windy it was in the Warrumbungles NP.

Congrats to all the PBers, with a special mention to Phil and Matt, well done on crossing all or most of the boxes with PBs, but holy Crapola Mark J my hat goes off to you - well done, why worry about getting 35 when you can get to 38? You have raised the bar significantly for us all, but more importantly, you hammered your own PB and that run must have felt sooooo good on the new gear too - CONGRATULATIONS AND A BIG WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
