Town Green, Port Macquarie, NSW, AU. Well that seshion was an eye opener and very humbling! Sad to say I just chugged around for most of the seshion, occasionaly planed and was pretty well underpowered right till the end. But all was good, slowly starting to work this sport out!  And I have to say Mark J and Dion, you guys make it look all too easy, everything appears effortless and smooth, so hats off to you both. I aspire to sail half as good.  I was having a  ball watching, picked up some very valuable clues and learnt heaps-thanks. One thing I learnt was I WANT A 6.6 GPS Hot Sail! I borrowed Mark's rig for a few runs and I have to say it felt unreal. I tried it on my FSW board and it still feel sweet. Power to burn and very light. So I'll soon be getting one!

Anyway, first time at Town Green, and what a great place to sail!  Bath warm, clean shallows, a 14-18 knt nor-easter and great company- top way to spend the arvo.

101 JP FSW 6 mtr Hot Sail.

Glad you got on water Phil. We're getting a little jaded with the lack of wind down here! You gotta love the challenge with windsurfing that's what makes it fun, aside from equipment lust.Enjoy the Noreasters guys!!Looking like a good couple of days coming up....

Hi Gabe, EVERYTHING in windsurfing is a challenge to me...lol And the gear lust is sending me broke (broker?), but I'm starting to piece the right gear together and beginning to feel comfortable in decent wind with bigger sails. My tragic gps figures are no reflection of the things I've learnt today. Very slow speed, but a big step forward in ideas and progression. I still can't get over how sweet that 6.6 GPS felt.

Got a bad feeling I'll be tracking down a slalom board in the not to distant future...

Anyway, I  truely hope you guys get some good wind, and soon!!!!!

Mick and milsy, nice 5x10 and Alpha well done. Well done too Port Marauders, we have been watching the wind for the MNC with envy!!! Phil, how good is it to sail with Dion and Mark? I always pick up a few things as well on stance, position etc - keep soaking it up.. I have only used my 8m GPS to date Phil and can confirm that for a cammed sail it is easy to rig (compared to other cammed sails), and powerful on the water. Looking fwd to using one of the smaller sizes hopefully on Friday (looking like 7.3 or 6.6 at this stage). Until then, will be hiking in the Prom, go carting perhaps or the wine/cheese trail. Keep up the good work Marauders! Hoping to make an entry by week's end!!
