Falcon 79 Slalom + Hot Sails Maui GPS 5.5m (demo sail borrowed from Mark Jordan), Casper 25cm (borrowed from Mark Jordan).

Well the bet to stay on till today paid off. I got close to my goal 2 sec, so I am pretty happy. The Falcon 79 felt so nice with the smaller fin when powered up, but the wind was dropping each run. I reckon if the wind stayed in I would have dialled in the gear and got my goal. The set up was so sweet. Next time perhaps. Heaps of weed too due to the big northerly we had this morning. Every 4th run was dudded due to catching weed.

Did about 10 runs with the 5.5, then changed up to the 6.6 GPS and a 29cm meanline borrowed from Sam. All good speeds were done on the 5.5, the 6.6 just became a fun sail, charging around. The 79 Falcon is so easy to sail, even nailed a few tacks on the little bugger. The GPS sails are so nice, the 5.5 is a gem - thanks for the lend of the demo 5.5m sail mark J, and the fin. Thanks for the loan of the other fin Sam.

Only sailed 4 times in 2 weeks, but overall I am stoked with the quality of the sails that we did have. Today of course was the highlight. GO MARAUDERS

Hell speeds there Adam. Great to see you nearly reach your goal. It gives you an excuse to return there soon. You must be impressed with the board and sails too. The GPS sails sound very impressive. It must be unreal charging around on a little speed sail like that.

Great result Adam!! Brilliant 2 sec. Peak PB and 5X10sec PB. Congratulations!!Well worth waiting for.I guess that means you'd venture down there again despite the lack of consistency with the wind eh?Ha Ha.You gotta be happy with that!!

Well done the Marauders team on the results for the day!!I'll put my very ordinary post in shortly.

Thanks everyone. It was a great arvo, and a relief that the extra time away from my family was not in vain. Thanks Mark.J for the enthusiasm and mentoring on technique over the 2 weeks. I did everything you said and it felt faster. Damn those GPS sails rock!!!! Catch u Wed. Thanks to Mal from the PiT Crew who was encouraging me enthusiastically to sail a 25cm fin this arv, despite me never had sailed a fin that small and being pessimistic about such a fin on a board that big.. Finally thanks to my hotty wife who held the fort whilst I've been away. and for encouraging me to indulge in my passion and wait some extra time for wind whilst pursuing my goal speed.
