Melville Beach, WA, AU

got down there pretty early and it was looking pretty nice already so rigged the 5.5 so i could drop down boards later if it came in really strong

pretty good combo the 112 and 5.5, got all my best speeds of the day on this setup which is crazy for me, only 2 knots short of my pb on a 68 cm wide board Surprised

anyway the downside to this combo was that the fin was too long to even get close to the speed run

so later i changed to the 90 with a 24 weedy which ment i could get on the run but it didn't help my speeds

normal melville gustyness all day so i'm smashed after only 57km's

hope everyone else had as nice a sunday as i did

5.5 evo2, 112 mistral sl, 34 scarrgo pointer, 90 mistral sl, 24 scarrgo weedy

Pelican Point, JP 99, 7m, GW 34cm

Hard work at Peli. 7m may have been a bit too much.
Took me a while until I trimmed the gear (thightened the straps, adjusted mast foot position for the new fin, lines...) before it felt more comfortable. Went accross two times, and was sorry every time. Very choppy. Especially comming back.

I'm over this carrbon freestyle board. My knees hurt.
Still, should be a PB or two Cool

Damo, well done on the PB.

Well, nearlly 30knots at Peli Point - one day!

Interesting afternoon. Started worried that I had rigged too big with a 5.8m so gave it lots of downhaul. Well what a pig. Windxstacy, now working at Windforce so she is a professional, gave me some great professional advice - let a little downhaul off. I did and what a diffference it made. So I had a blast for the rest of the session. Thanks Anita.

Couple of sessions at WW from Mossie side. Had middle and end of day duties so had to stay close

Hit the water about 10 on the 7.8 and had a great 40 mins until the stinkboats made a real mess.

46 gybes in the hour.

Then it really kicked in and by 11.30 it was getting dangerous belting through the washing machine fully lit. So sailed back.

Went back about 2.30 and sailed back across on the 90/ 6.3 combo.

Still too many stinkboats but the odd quiet patch and some reasonable bullets. Shame I forgot to do the vent screw up!!Yell

Alpha was too tight at under 35m proximity! There were definitely alpha PBs to be had out there today if you could catch them.

Good to be hammering through the chop with Chris, Troutty and Somepunk. Flying visits from Ado and Recycle.

Wind backed off about 4.30 which was good timing as I had to be back at the car by 5.

iS111, FO34. Just right Wink 2 sec peak on this combo.

Great fun in the gusts with some good long flat sections. Heaps of people out. Sean was flying and Damo was grinnin'.

Late sesh at the Beaver in a solid sea breeze.  It was gusting 25ish and the run was super flat with the low tide.

I got there late cos I knew there wouldn't be enough water on the bar earlier.

On the water at 4.40 with the CA47 + 6.6 TR7 + 23 KA assy combo.

Combo was sweet, I've got this set-up pretty much dialled these days and she was rock solid down the strip.

Broke my 2.5 year old PB for 2 sec twice today Laughing, and did my fastest ever 10 second run (39.86).  Was hoping for a PB on average as well, but I could only find 2 fast 10 second runs and a few 37s, so my PB average stands for now.  It was nice and windy in the gusts, but not as consistent as Safety Bay can be.

Nice sailing with Jake and JJ.  Congrats on the PBs guys, a great team sesh Cool

Safety Bay, WA, AU

Huge day at SB - sailed the 47 speed board all day starting at midday. Cruised out in the bay and in the pond till about 4 when the bar started to work.

Tried the Pengos bar but couldn't get the angle right, but had huge fun getting used to the board out in the ocean - got 33.5 in the middle of the bay which is an open ocean PB for me.

Later managed to get 36.3 in the pond. This board is just too much fun.

Had a great late session with Adam, Greg (power man) and Jake when the tide came in on the bar. Early the kiters were driving me mad but eventually they thinned out.

So for my first real go on a speed board I am STOKED Cool

Mistral/Lockwood 47, Hot Sails GPS 6.6 and 5.5, Lockwood 26 and Vector Delta Weed 25 (I need a smaller fin)

Pelican Point, WA, AU 4.9K, nonose, 28 vector

Gybe practice with a few speed runs thrown in at the end for a bit of fun. No kiters in the way today.

Rigged small for gybing. Might have got that elusive 30 if I'd rigged for speed...

Nice to see Pugwash on the water and catch up with Ricey and Squid Lips

Top 5 results for 2 sec, alpha and distance, so no wonder it felt like fun!

Early arvo at PW with some good company. I think the direction was a bit out but it was still good fun. Feel like I missed out with those great numbers from the beaver!!!

Got in to find my cheapo skinny extension from WSP had exploded and only the stainless pin was holding on my downhaul. The pin is now embedded into the bottom of my mast causing carnage...doh. Serves me right for buying cheapo crap. Buyer beware, not up to downhauling race sails...

Well done on all the PBs everyone !

Another lazy day at Mettams to Sorrento for me. 5.0 wave sail perfect in the gusts a bit small in the lully bits. Should have invested some time in the drive but had domestics to attend to.

Big day out team! Cool

Good to see Obelix ramping it up, mate the Futura is a sled and you will definitely progress well with one in the quiver.

Damo getting the new kit dialled, Jake giving his usual masterclass in alpha excellence and JJ showing the pedigree of the new Mistral, plenty more to come I'm sure.  Think I'd better get me a 95 Money mouth (spent a fair bit of time wallowing in the Sound yesterday).

And the Captain with some great alpha back-up in between baby shower duties Tongue out.  Hope the 90 didn't take on too much water?
