Pelican Point, WA, AU, JP FSW 96L / 7m.

Pretty average at Pelican Point. Tried the F2 115 with the straps out, and the 34cm fin didn't work to well either. The fin could not hold, and the board felt uncomfortable. Will move the straps back.
Then swapped for the JP wreck and felt much better, except theat there wasn't much wind. The "Wreck" felt good with the Techtonic fin.

Left when I realised a few drops of water got into the GPS pouch. The GT31 had a drop inside the screen which was fogging a bit. $%#!@.

Could have had much more fun at Pinnaroo Point today. Never mind. I'll there tomorrow.

More Shark Bay goodness Cool

Mistral 95 + 6.6 TR7 + 32 Goldwing.

Great sesh in an absolutely pristine location with a great crew.  It doesn't get much better.

Nice and flat but bigggg holes. Rigged too small, was optimistic after my last sesh at Melville. Nice to see Chris and Gemma with the noob. scarrgo was flying along keeping pace with Jesper.

Stoked that Grumpy is enjoying the 86!

Awesome day. Had heaps of 33's on the dial but just couldn't make 34 until I had a quick lesson from Mark on how to slingshot. First run after and I cracked PB. Having a great trip so far. Beautiful part of the world.

Loving my new board. Thanks Pat.

Safety Bay today and another fun sesh on the 81/6.3 went out the back mostly but had a few runs on the bar too for best peak. Choppy as $^%& out the back made for hard work in the gusts but a fun sail all up. Glad to see you guys up at shark bay are getting some wind Cool

Pelican Point, WA, AU

A very enjoyable afternoon sailing on moderate winds with RRD 98, Turbo 6.5 and 33 Technics. Felt relatively fast today - all the really fast sailors must have gone to Shark Bay!

Trying to remember some of the Simon Bornhoft tips and it did help. Got a couple of planing gybes and one falling in when I clealy knew what was wrong.

Fantastic sail at a beautiful remote beach. A bit underpowered today but huge fun nevertheless.

Well done Grumpy on your 2 PB's.

very nice day in the sun

worked the morning and then got the arvo off to make the most of the sun and wind

melville was gusty as usual and not really that strong but still good fun

i was on my big slalom gear and chasing around jesper most of the day

was able to get the gear moving here and there to keep up with him but alot of the time i was just watching him sail away

oh well getting there

Billy Goat, Green Head, went from bugger all to gusty SSE overnight. In the end was to rough for 135lt board and smallest sail I had was the 5.8 Hellcat. Was fun while I could hack it. Couple of down wind coming off the front of the waves near sand bar with only the fin in the waterLaughing

I packed in the dark when I left and was wondering why the board was so tight in the board bag. I grabed the wrong board. Was supposed to be the 115ltCry

Pity my break up there ran out.

Obelix, before you get undoing, try the board again as i s but move the rear harness line back 25mm (1") and test. This should resolve the fin letting go. Be surprised how much difference it will make.

Put the GT31 with the card holder hatch open, in a sandwich bag with a teaspoon of rice overnight. This should drag or absorb the moisture.

I run mine inside a zip lock bag inside the pouch and so far so good, not water/moister issues. Smile

Thanks Mineral. Just put it into a plastic bag with rice. I'll definitelly add another bag inside the pouch. I have no idea how water got in. Probably just a sloppy roll.
I'll make sure it's protected inside the pouch in the future.

Well done Grumpy. Nice numbers.

Why do I feel like a bit of fishing in Shark Bay?
