Kyeemagh 15-25 knots

iSonic 90, Loft Switchblade 7.3  36cm Talon

It was a nice early seabreeze - on the water by 11am. No wind at Kyeemagh, but there was a good solid breeze out past the runway.

Looked like a great day early but just didnt get as strong as predicted. Still some nice conditions and a sweet light wind cruise on the big gear.

Heaps of people out sailing along which is great but strewth there are some scary characters out there with NFI!!!

Wind swung from NE with E in it to NE with lots of N in it. Really dificult to hook a slingshot gust to line up with the chance of getting into the speed strip but still fun. Nice to have a cold beer with the boys too.

Falcon 121, 7.8 Evo III, C3 Sting II 44.

Slalom Racing in the NSW series heat 4... My first official race, and it was good fun, but tiring!

Up at Kyeemagh, NSW, AU near the runway.

Mainly on my slow JP Excite Ride, 35cm fin and 8.6m2 sail, that was at times, too small, too large, and just right!

The trick to a good result was to start on time, and not stack in the gybes. Unfortunately I did NOT abide by these rules! Still, finished in the top 10 with 8 formula series competitors, so not to bad. Very happy, and tired!.

Note, I will post some photos to seabreeze, NSW blog.

Yet another patchy, gusty, swingy, crazy, weird, NE... Not sure if that could be called NE...? Anyway lots of people in the water, many new faces!!!. Thanks Larko for the coldie, it was just perfect.

Slalom racing, great day and great fun. A good start was vital, being over or not there on the gun really punished you.

Thanks for the organisers and Rach F for taking places down. Made the 'winners final' twice, YAY!!!

JP SS 118 FWS, NP H2 Racing 7.7, JP 42 stock fin.

First time on the new H2 Racing sail, really impressed with the feel and performance straight out of the box. Handled the big guts pretty well and felt nicely locked in when blasting along.

"The Crash Point" I went for "just one more run" after racing, stacked coming in for a/during a gybe and 'slice'. Just out of the hospital this afternoon. Operation to repair tendons and stitch up massive gash on foot. No formula nationals for me this year. Yell YellYellCry

Final heat of the NSW Slalom Series. Got windy as the day wore on. I think these GPS results amount to what might be described as belonging to a 'windsurf racing enthusiastic participant'!Foot in mouth

So that is where you went Michael. We were at the Kyeemagh car park around noon and saw your car. However we didn't see you. Fantastic tracks there.

It's been the same for the last few seabreezes - slog out to the end of the runway, barely floating, then planing non-stop all the way across to Kurnell. I'd clocked up 90kms before heading back into Kyeemagh where it was still light and patchy.
