Defeated by the wind today. Rigged a 7.0 which was about right, until the wind picked up just as I walked into the water.

Tried a bit of rough water sailing at Ramsgate amoungst the kite surf course racing, but gave up, as  I was way too over powered.

Wicked sail.  Board felt nice and comfy behind the sand bank but away from the sandbank and in the chop it was a different story.

southerly kicked in late this arvo  during low tide exposing the sandbar near st george sailing club. Some nice fun bear aways with big carve gybes at the end.

Had some super fast gybes but unfprtunaetely outside the 50 diameter.

Woeful, horrible and maybe gusty?? ya think, pfffft!! best part was cooling down from the bloody heat, other than that flat water but longest run was probably 200 meters!!! Plus dodging the local One Design fleet was fun as they got smashed all over the park!!

First run, planed straight off the beach and thought "this is gonna be good" Wind swung from SE to S to SSW and was crap. got lightning, thunder and huge rain drops to complete the day. Oh well, **it happens.

Falcon 121, Evo III 7.8, F/O weedster 36.

Great results there Andrew. You must be pleased with the speed PBs.

Sounds pretty challenging there Alphaman. Full on speeds for what must have been pretty rough conditions. You are not making life easy for yourself going out when overpowered and in very choppy water.

Yeah yeah I Know. Should have changed down or gone speed stripping, but couldn't face restacking the alfa and rerigging. But after sailing every other day this year, I kinda had enough! Back to work Monday, so I'll have time to recover! About the only thing to look forward to next week... until the weekend! Cool

Thanks Karl. Thanks James. It's certainly nice to improve my results, if only by a bit. Craig, our results were so similar it looks like we were tethered together... :)
