Jacques Kint (10854km): Lake George, Day 2, wind really kicked in today and we had some nice runs, the only problem is that everything was port tack, not my prefered sailing side but after a day of speed runs i became fairly confident. i felt like there was more speed to be had out there but everyones speeds were within half a knot. Parked up at 5 mile cos a hate the track out to the spit!!!, every trip takes about 1 year life of the car!!!, but that may have been my down fall today, i spent all day on the 48 speed and i think i could have been on the 43 speed , but it was up the other end of the bay. Would have like to compare it but given the state of the water i think the slightly wider tail of the 48 today for me may have been just as fast. A couple of times i was stacked on the 5.5 and it was great very comfy. All in all a great couple of days, and always great to spend a couple of days with new and old faces, congrats to Hamma how holds the current 2 sec peak, always good to sail with him, cool dude, but not to keen to share a motel room with him after he revealled to everyone at tea "I LIKE IT BOTH WAYS", not sure what he ment i think it was sailing.
Thanks Hardie for driving me back to 5 mile, sorry about the sand and i'm sure i will catch you there again later in the month.
For all the interstaters, don't stress the water is going down but at least a month before its epic, but having said that there is still some very above average sailing to be had at present so if your are booked don't pull out its still worth it. Jimbob thanks again, generosity that can't be topped, and ask Daffy what happened to all the conditioner???? not sure what he was doing!!!!
Great to have another speedy on our team, good to meet and sail with you John
