To bumpy to get the fin to work properly today - still had plenty of fun, although I did have to wait around in the rain for a good hour or so before the wind was in.

Plenty of Sydney sailors up Mike, Rexy, Karl, Spence + others, I think even Grant dropped by.

Decided to head to Mummas......(Mummas making 'Canton'....geddit) instead of going to Botany in the hope it would be consistent and flat. It was kinda consistent but certainly not flat. A very high tide made for lumpy conditions but it was still fun. Good to sail with Sydney guys, all the Mid North Coast boys musn't have liked the cold....

Anyway, heaps of weed and discovered the BP Speed Weed was NOT up to the conditions but the more raked Flying Objects was. Used my Falcon 89 and NP RSR 6.7.

Finally got a new gps!

Was underpowered a little today but still planing most of the time. Canton is super bumy at the moment and found the best bear away spot form the yellow bouy toward the baot ramp on the east end of the lake. The normal spot was way to messy. 

Nice to finally meetr MT. Good to see Rexy, spence, milsey, moby and slow mick.

Which sail to rig. Who cares, bound to be wrong at some point!

Sailed a second hand, but new to me iSonic 121L 75wide board with 44cm fin today - perfectly matched with 8.6m Loft Racing Blade. What a machine. Super impressed, and I haven't even tuned it yet. 30kts on the first run.... I think it works! Thanks Steve in TASSIE. Bit of a risk buying sight unseen but it paid off!

Top speed was on my Excocet RS2 91L, 32cm Nitro fin and 5.5m TR4 MauiSails.

Blistering downwind run between the red polls. Sand bar was no where near being exposed, but I think I've found a good spot that works almost as well ! ! ! And no rock shelf at the end of the run.

Good to see aboutt 10 guys out on such an ugly day.
