It was an early start with just me and Artur blasting around in th egusty, shifty wind. It was NW off the beach and NE on the runway. So much crap in the water!! I hit a clear plastic bag at 26 knots and the board stopped dead. Luckily the mast broke my fall.
The 7.3m was perfect early on, but it was too much of a handful by the end. Fun morning out , now back to work

Glad I decided to sit out the rain soaked yesterday and opt for what seemed like a dry but still windy Sunday. Mike was already out on a 7.3 and Rick was on a 7 so I rigged the biggest I had which was my RSR 6.7 and went out on my Falcon 89. Played around with mastfoot and boom heights and seemed to find a sweet spot today. There was some big bullets coming through so I went and grabbed the Drops speed board and man what a difference. It is like riding in a limo compared to the sportscar that is the Falcon. It's faster but just a much more smoother and docile ride. In saying that I think I got my fastest speed on the Falcon because the wind had swung and backed off a tad when I went out on the Drops.
Probably the strongest wind I have held onto that sail in but all well worth it with a Botany Bay PB for me.

Terribly difficult to control the board/sail when the wind goes from sub-planning to over-powered, with a 90d shift as well.
Still, managed some good speeds considering the chop.... and a few stacks as well.. thankfully nothing major.
Good to see Roar and Ken and a few others, but regulars seemed a few less than usual. 2 Groups of learners also good to see.

What a difference a day makes. Supposed to be a sweet NE but was horribly north and gusty as!!!! Went out early and was fully powered but the water level was so high and the chop horrendous. Coupled with Narra's racing boats, huge floating weed islands from yesterdays storms and a fair few sailors it was rubbish. Went back out later on but just as bad so pulled the pin. Some gusts I got smashed on and a few hairy tail walks.

115 patrik, 6.2 H2 = Got in just as Rick and michael were coming in - wind kept building in the a afternoon till the gusts were 30-40 knots out there.
Couldnt even sheet in half the time. had some pretty sweet gybes tho - H2 irotates a lor eaiser then its slalom cousins. Still kicking muself for not taking my smaller slalom board.

Some nice runs down the runway with Rexy and Michael. Looked windy when I was rigging up but it dropped off so I used my 66, had a few runs and then the wind really came back, too lazy to change down. Later Rexy and I grabbed our Drops speed boards, wind went NW and dropped
