6.6m, 115l, 36cm weedie, Morning sail at Novara, south east wind. (meaning the wind was swinging from south to east). Fun sail regardless, happy with the gybes. Hopefully more tomorrow.

Wink Well to say I needed that windsurf session is an under-statement.  Felt in the zone today, have been in form for about a month, and today the conditions were ideal.  Alpha PB was my mission today, sailed in Alphaland, the markers Tom set up are great, Thankyou TomCool, the gear I used was my alpha machine Tabou Manta 74, TR-7 5.9m, DEcrepit 45degree weed.  Its a magic place to do Alpha's.  If anyone wants a guide to the place next time you sail at Novara, let me know, and I;ll guide ya through the place!!!!!!!!  Dunno what I feel really. Not as ecstatic as I normally would be, probably still feeling a bit shell shocked by everything.  However, sailing in the zone and getting a PB in a high skill area like alpha gybing is very satisfying.  I wanted into the 26kt alpha club pretty bad!!!!!  I had 11 gybes over 25kts.

Wind was about 15 to 23 kts maybe the odd stronger gust??  Water state, into the markers about 20cm yo 30cm chop, beyoung the markers 15 to 20cm chop, in the gybing area 5cm chop.

Tabou Manta 54cm&Elmo Δ weed 25cm, Tabou Thunder 70cm& JP Weed 36cm, NP RSR Eii 6.2(RIP)

After work sail, thought I'd try the little Manta, gave it a run went for a Naughty, discovered that the board was a bit small for the amount of wind and my inherant laziness but went for the Naughty anyway, gybed at the end and totaly f'ked it up resulting in me smashing my head into the sail losing my glasses and giving me a good swim after the gear which was drifting away from me.

Decided that breathing was a bit tricky for mucking around on small board so after much fluffing and trying to get going sailed back and changed to 70cm Thunder with the 36 weedy to deal with the chop.

Tried another Naughty but still struggling for breath because of my first headcold for the year (rockin), decided to have a look down in Alpha land a bit ambiscous with a 36cm weedy.

Was havin some fun down there watching the Stroppa doing his Thang, started getting it dialed got some nice gybes but best which would have been a PB (23.87) apart from the proximity being 52-53m, still theres potential for improvement and maybe I can beat that skinny speed demon from Albany.

Not the best of sessions but definately not the worse, although getting back to shore and finding that my sail had destroyed it's innards wasn't the ideal way to finish.

Congrats to Hardz on a stonkin Cormer, the one I saw looked Smooooooooooth asCool

Thanx Guyz HumbledEmbarassed Alphaland Tips = Firstly Reason i dont do Google earth overlays is I dont know how to do themYell I know alphaland intimately, and the thing that made the differernce was looking at and following Stroppo to see how he negotiated the markers.  Also going to be tidal dependent how far you go in.  So dont think google earth will help, talking to and following someone that knows how it works is the key.  I'm offering!!!

G'day all, here is my tracks from down in Alphaland, I have put a couple of red dots where I "thunk" the markers are, there is a PVC post and a yellow drum, I sailed past them gybed and used them for prximity. I was plowing on the curvy bit

Hardz and Stropp were using much smaller fins than me (I was using a 36) so looked to be going a lot closer to the shore I have put the line where I think they were going into, I wasn't that brave.

Yoko Ono's Alphaland Map is very accurate, and he got it right where I was gybing, the red line, but i had a 26cm 45 degree weed fin, and I was definitely, ploughing thru weed as I was gybing
