RRD Firestorm 120L with 8.5M Lightning & 44cm POS fin

New 490 made the sail feel better & the Maui boom felt realy stiff (thanks Darryl)

A bit weird to be back on the big gear.

Spent a while trying to water start after realising I didn't have an up-haulEmbarassed

Had a quick blast on the 111 & 7.5 & it was just as easy to get planing as the bigger kitSurprised

Bring on tomorrow Laughing

Great photos snides. Especially like the bottom one. Did you photoshop that to a vintage look ? Seeing as I'm out of action might have to switch to my other passion of photography and do something useful. What gear are you using snides ? Cheers. Jc

JC Pic was heavily cropped in Picassa And straightened, lightened and sharpened.. About 10 secs worth of edit. Canon 5d mk3,70-200 2.8 lens and 2 x extender and polar filter. Not ideal for long distance but adequate. Just waited for Shane to cross the main part of the Sun reflection.

Nicely done Snides. That's some quality gear you'rer shooting with there. How are you enjoying the new Mk 3 ? I'm using the 60D but thinking of upgrading to the new 6D or Mk 3
