evets (10573km): A great fun sesion on the estuary wth MMs and SRMs. 6.5 Raptor with more downhaul than I normally use as the gusts were strong. This made a great difference and it behaved itself in the strongest gusts. Initially on ISO 105 as the wind was patchy. It then picked up and I changed to the secret waepon..... on this I increased my PBs for 2 sec by a knot and and 5*10 by 2 knots. Home commitments meant I had to leave the water at 9.25..... I am thrilled as I know that I can go faster than today as the wind was not always there and the 5*10s often had sections where I had headed into wind. Thanks to Decrep and the MM for the loan of the weapon. I hope I am off the wind far enough: feed back welcomed from you all....below are my 5x 10 tracks from REALSPEED

Elmo (15665km): JP SlalomPro IV 68, Elmo Frankenfin 45º 31.5cm NP RS4 6.7m. Strange ole day on the water, the front didn't leave a huge amount of wind in it's trail, still nice and powered for the most part and not having to swim in at all was a beautifull thing. Was having quite a bit of fun testing different settings on my new toy. Could only do short return runs then had to chuck a bit more snot in the water and get my breath back. Voice is that bad I sound like Davros now Was great getting some of the dedicated SRM boys down nice and early. Good times good times

Bender (19030km): Iso86, Iso SS W53 and F2SX M, X-15's 5.8m and 6.4m, 34cm & 30cm Bentonic speed weed Tried the Isonic speed special. It does not like the chop. Got a few runs powered up but i never timed my runs well today. Spent most of the day on my 86. Good to have a blast. Every time i gybed to head back up wind the wind would just crank. Oh well it was just not my day. |
