Wild wild wild!Surprised  25 to 45 kts, 2 sails went flying and crashed into a house.  Same house garage door blew off, flopping in the wind smashing the car.  Luckily the windsurfing crew were able to redeeem themselves and a mighty team effort saw the garage door safely removed, with forever grateful people who may have been slightly peeved 15 mins earlier.  Hard to keep the board on the water.  Missile S  Gaastra vapor 5m, custom weed 24cm.  Sail was brilliant, first time got me money's worth, and the missile is so fast, petty was so choppy.  Got 37.8 on the dial, gotta be happy with that tho feel a bit deflated about not joining the 40kt whaich I was secretly hoping would happen today.  Hopefully when I warm up and reconsider this session it will be my finest hour in speed sailing, this run felt 5 knots faster than my 38.1 on the dial run and Sandy Point.  Say more later.

Got to Hardies about 6.30am. Not much wind but a few optimistic people there.

Rigged 5.0 MPR, JP265 freeride and evets weedy

wind came in and it was great........ getting windier and choppier ......went fast.

wind became crazy,  no-one on the water, kit blowing around. Windchill indicated 1.6 deg and it felt it.

Had a sail after wind dropped but was coled by then

JP Slalom IV 104L, NP RS4 6.2m, , Elmo weed 45º 31cm

Struggled with fitness all day found it realy hard to hang of the boom.

New untried Elmo weed was playing sillybuggers and cavitating just as I was about to give a run a nudge.

The little JP VI felt realy slippery just was let down by the fin, gonna have to make a better one methunks

Huge congrats to Bendyman for giving that monkey a severe spanking today, well done BudCool

Well done Steve for your PBs.

Had a nice hot shower, now of for a nanna nap

The snot fields were diabolical

I got there after the storm Embarassed, I meant to as I don't have too much the physic right now! I need more sessions!

Well done to Hardie and Bendy for the magic numbers and all the rest of the team for braving the cold and rain Wink.

As I was packing up and everyone already left the wind came back good for 5m, I had enough at this stage to be borther with it.

My first real session for long time, I enjoyed it Cool

Stoke 106, 6.5 m Tushie Thunderbird 34cm weed fin  First day back for 2 months, got there as the most powerfull part of the front had passed but still looked good but cold. Got a warning about the weed but what do I do sail 100m straight into the weed and over the handlebars, think I need a smaller fin for these occassions good session shame my speeds were not a bit quicker. Well done everyone else

Hardies RUN, 25-35+knts. Arrived at 6.30am after getting to bed at 1pm due to going to a wedding the night before. Felt a bit tired

When the wind arrived it was brutal. Only got three good powered up runs in before things went nuts and it became too rough on the run. Happy with the display max PB of 37.74knts.Smile

HARDIES RUN, cRASHER, WHAT A SHAME YOU WEREN'T HERE, 40 FOR THE BECKONING FOR YOU MATE.  Just as I was getting dialed the wind picked up another 5 to 10 knots, the chp doubled and it became unsailable.  The 40kt club still seems a very very long way a way todayEmbarassed

awesome times men ! Well done .Tell me about the missile hardie ...

The Missile S, well it's a small board for a 90kg+ person.  It needs wind.  can be difficult to get going because it's so small, needs a bit of technique, need to get motion going or it just sinks.  In moderate winds, is no faster than a slalom board, a bit slower if anything.  Once the wind gets up and you point it off the wind it just goes into another gear.  It feels like it lifts up, becomes clearer of the water and just keeps accelerating, it becomes a sensory experience just trying to adapt with everything happening so fast.  In my opinion it handles the chop really well!!,  The only issue is getting used to things happening so fast, so it takes some getting used to.  I wouldn't have wanted to be on anything bigger today.  Just need 30 knots and flat water!!  I would recommend it, if you get lot's of strong winds.

fantastic effort guys, wish I'd been there! Great to see Bender's got his 37 back, it's been a long time.

Congrats Evets on PBs, I bet that alpha felt great when you saw it in realspeed.

Same to Webby on yours, weather has got to warm up soon.

Keep up the good work, there's still a few days left this month for distance and 1hr

We're still having a good time, Vienna, Prague, Rhine valley, all good. Now in England for the next 10 days.
