6.0 v6 np, 110l x-cite ride, 32cm lessacher. Started out fairly well with Decrep and Crasher doing some distance, but became a tad overpowered so changed down to the 92l jp fsw and 26cm jp weedie with 5.4 tush lightning. Then it all came together. One blistering run with gusts keeping the board moving at a speed that , well, I'm not used to, but felt totally stable.

The intensity of the wind seemed to increase and the boys were racking up some speeds along with some respectable distance given the conditions. Or as Colin said, maybe we're just not used to the wind speed.

Measured at 2.30pm was 21.7kn.

Great after work session at Hardies dodging snot rocks and seagulls which stand on the waterWink.

Good solid breeze on the course but with all the weed clumps and snot you couldn't sail a straight line and generall ended up watching very carefully what was 30m in front of you.

No splatts todayCool Hardy took a hit though, did depth check a rock on my 23,which was 21cm below the surface.

Was just getting my groove on out there when I'd finally gut the kit sussed when my arms gave out.

Huge respect to Decrep for sailing with mutilated hands (a photo is called for there)

F2 Missile S (62 Litre 48cm width) Gaastra vapor 6m  Hybrid weed 24.5cm, The longest session so far on the missile, very fast board.  Wind had a lot of southerly in it, making it a bit too square for PB efforts, and water was a bit shallow, meaning fin was dragging thru weed and snot, you could feel yourself slowing down.  Nonetheless a very enjoyable sail, wind was about 15 to 28kts.  Learnt a bit about the board today.  40 knots still seems a million miles away, it's gonna take a special day at hardies with the tide just right, more westerly in the wind, and a good 30kt blow.

Well done to Pepe on his PB, he was one happy boy.  Well done for Elmo on pipping me on display.  GT11 display was 37.00kts.

Fantastic pb there Pepe. well done. That must feel soooooo goood. Well done Hardie, a long session on the missile sounds like great prep for when it is really windy. Oh Crasher.... bugger hardly covers it. I went to a farm in the wheatbelt with my Dad today.... glad I did it, met some great people and sat in the biggest header in Aus, an amazing machine...... but would have been good to be on the water in these conditions.

Pete, he had a 36+.

I went thru the set up before he went out as the same thing has happened previously, I couldn't see anything wrong.

I've just tried my card in his unit and managed to get a dribble of data out of the internal logger, but no distance has been travelled and it only goes for a few minutes. I suspect it's from when I've had it on in here.

Also with the dribble of data was an 800kb byte file called "cactus10", and my card has been split in 2, now when I connect the card reader I get two cards! One of them much larger than the other, but they both have the same data on.

I've reformated it but there's still 2 cards coming up when I connect it.

Think I may need some help with this card, let alone crashers unit!

Can't find any data on cactus10, I'm in the middle of a virus scan on this computer now just in case.

Yowzers Decrep, remember that magical first day I had outside your place?  Same thing, soft travel hands + many hours windsurfing = payment.

I found some windsurfing gloves, in combination with lots of band aids and tape, pouring mercurochrome on it every night made it heal up in a couple of weeks.

Respect for your distance anyway, that's one big session!

Up date on crashers gps.

I'm testing by jogging round the park, (min speed set to 3kn)

Tried it without memory card installed, still nothing in data logger.

Updated frimware to latest version, with no card in, data logger works, can read with navilink2 and will download to my memory card.

Seems to download to Crashers card but windows reports an unopenable corrupted card, reformated card and tried again with same result.

Then tried my card in there and jogged again, worked fine.

Not sure about this "cactus10" thing, don't know where it could have come from.

I used the card in my camera while away, and reformated it last week, it's a bit of a mystery.

But the firmware in Crashers unit was bad and so is his memory card.

Hopefully it's be OK now.

some cards need 3.3V. The Navi doesnt go that high. They will do funny things if you try. I had this problem with one of the old SD cards I had from my camera. Moral of the story is, some cards work, some dont.

Just back from the chemist, they sold me 2 products,

1 "Cutinova", a soft plasticy sheet with an adhesive side, that is cut bigger than the wound and stuck over it. this provides the correct enviroment for the wound to heal.

2 Fixomull a waterproof tape that goes over the top, just put it on and it's starting to sting, must be doing some good!

I used that white material stuff last time on my hands, it will still peel off unless you put some brown bandaid tape over the top and use gloves. With gloves and brown tape you can sail all day without hurting the blisters...

Hardie wins the contribution stakes this month with 5. Elmo has 3, I have 2, and Sam and Matt have 1 each.

For once the Bendy man doesn't appear.

30 km less than Crasher, but only made our score 15km less than if Crasher's data was usable.

I disagree Elmo, I get a real buzz when I've made a contribution, and other people seem to apreciate being acknowledged for there's.

It's certainly not to take away anything from the efforts of non contributors, every body out sailing with you is a help, and the more results to choose from the better.

Any body else feel the same way as Elmo???

Decrep, there's just so many differences of opinion on everything, and most have at least some validity.  I try not to get involved in the opinion game, I've let go of my need to be right or have everyone agree with me, I feel Ok with my opinions, whatever they are, and however strongly people disagree with me.

When I was a member of the mob, I was overjoyed if I could contribute half a distance score to the team for the month!  You guys have such good sailors in there, no-one should feel bad if they don't contribute -- it's more a reflection of how strong the team is, rather than a reflection of sailing ability or commitment.  You guys ROCK!!

Elmo, the last thing in the world I want to do is cause you any agro, it's not a matter of who's right or wrong, I rarely think in those terms, it's what makes people happy, and feel good. If you feel comfortable with me continuing to post the contributors list I'll do so, but if you aren't comfortable I'll stop.
