The goolwa alpha channel rocks.  Yeehar!!!!! 2 x pb's and great funLaughingArrived at 5.30 after work and Tim and Chris D were packing up.  The wind was broad and had rolling chop down the channel but after the 1st couple of runs in the chop - i found the bank.  Sam was stuffed but stayed and had some runs and even a couple of runs on his f2 xs missile.  He was cranking on the fanatic as usual.  The isonic 50 and 5.1m maui are awesome.  Running very close to the bank was something special.  Good to have a session with the team for the gps challenge.  Tommorow looks good too..... Sam and Tim still to post.

Used Isonic 50, maui 5.1m tr-4 and 25cm sl7. Goolwa alpha channel - 20 - 30 knots

Sam - Fanatic 91, 5.1m loft blade - 31cm sl7 and ended up on f2 xs missile - awesome day.

Nice session at Goolwa.  Having my ordered 5.8 cancelled due to a factory re-fit I had either 6.7 or 5m. The wind had not swung or built so I headed out on the 6.7 and had some 40's early.  Got lifted a few times and would have liked to try the 29 sl7 I bought but haven't fitted it to the box yet.  The wind picked up near the end of the session and the 5m/Ca44 I had rigged on the beack would have been perfect but I had to be back in Radelaide by 7.  Well done to Sam and Carl on PBs, Carl rocked in at 5 and had good wind and angle but rolling chop.  Looks like you made the most of it, good stuff.  Don't think I added anything to the team stats this timeEmbarassed

Thanks guys,

Broad course and late in the day for me didn't allow us to have a crack at the alpha, nautical or distance.  Tommorow is looking good to bring those numbers up.  It was interesting at the end of the course going into a gybe at 38 knots on a speed board.  Awesome fun and bring on the summer fronts!!!Laughing

Thanks guys,

Goolwa alpha channel is a spot we will be visiting alot with seabreezes and cold fronts.  This spot is comparable with Sandy Point and only 1.5 hours from home Laughing.

What does it feel like being in the 40 Knot Club? I'm quite relaxed about not being in itYell

Hi Hardie,

All 3 of us had already done 40 knots.  We are hoping to get the 40 knot avg next.  Tim already has.  There is always something better to strive for.  The hard part is when you've done 40 - it's harder to better your numbers.  Your time will come soonLaughing
