Got there at 6am, Claude rocked up next.  Went out with 6.6m and AB+59, after a while got way over powered on that got 37kts which was fastest on that board.  Was gonna go for distance but wind picked up and wore me out.  Rigged up 5.9m and went out on AB+54cm wide slalom, quick Combo, but water was way to choppy, but top speeds done with the smaller gear. Well done Elmo!!!

Long day at the office today, very gusty day, with some quite powerfull gusts coming through with basically zero warning.

Absolutely stoked to finally get 40.00 on the dial Yyyyeeeeaaaahhhhhaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh the muppet danced was danced with vigorCool

Unfortunately it was just a rogue gust and not repeated.

Stoked with my experimental +10 fin, got 5knots quicker than its earlier incarnation as a straight 36cm on second run, Smug mode.

Thought I'd got a distance PB but unfortunately I'd forgoton to reset the odometer fromprevious session.

Good dayCool

There are some guys goiung to post some big distances today

couldn't quite get in to the groove today, didn't last a full 1hr in any session and was hoping for another distance PB, but just ran out of energy.

Great fun though!

Decrepit here, (under hardie's supervision) checked Matts Alpha, Realspeed says 27.6 GPSarPro says 18.2. KA72 Speed Reader also says 18.2

An examination of the realspeed 27.6 track shows it to be a zigzag, not a gybe, the doppler and trackpoint speed graph have a big diversion here also, looks like the GT11 temporarily got lost, and realspeed interprets the coming back to gether as a gybe, but the min speed is 26kts max speed 29.

So I've taken the next alpha down, and posted for man of.

Ta Neil, I was again the snail of the Mandurah heavy weights todayYell, saw a Four O on someone's dial, they're still at it now the wind just picked up again.  Some big big distances being done today, someone's after Snide's 413, and it could be done?  Bit too choppy for a massive range of PB's but still fast out there.

great averages guys, oh for some flat water. Those Cobblers sound pretty mean, what are they, presumably a fish with a spike sitting in the sand?.

Hardie

Cobblers are a Catfish, have a dorsal fin spine and two lateral fin spines all loaded with venomYell, They live in the weed so you can't see them, when they feel they are to be stood on they tense the spinesFrown

The NP RS slalom 2 is a tremendous sail and with the W52 I can see me going Faaaast Cool( both Ex Sam, thanks for the combination deal Sam) I had one tremendous crash today bu nothing broken. A little sad the session was cobblered short as I would have liked another crack at the mile in those conditionsCool. I did not feel powered up the whole way.

Nope don't hate Doppler. Got 40 on the dial so seriously happy, previous PB was 39.82 on my old Garmin so the 40.? was calculated in trackpoints which I (personally and nothing to do with anyone elses posts) didn't class as a proper 40 so to me this is a PB.

But now I've cracked it I can happily go back to wave sailingWink having achieved my goal

Here's a quick vid of one of my many cavitations last weekend, no potty mouth this time Was quite a good one.

Yes it does look quite flat, thats the joy of the FE lense, the chops actually about 6-8" (15-20cm) on the smooth part which isn't a huge amount unless you use a 24cm weedy then you start thinking you don't actually have much fin in the water as you skip across it.

Hope you enjoy (I did)
