JP Slalom IV 104L, NP RSSMkII 7.2m, JP Freeride Weed 36cm

Hit the water at 9am to do a quick hour before toddling of for family commitments, wanted to put in a solid hour but the legs were bandy from yesterday.

Best SE all season, good solid breeze, loverly, Steve looked like he was on a mission, I thunk he will post quite a nice hour.

I ache. I have a lot of admiration for the guys who have sailed 400+kms

Iso105, tush raptor 6.5 JP 36 weedy

Got to Navarra at 6.20, got out of car then back in car, drove home and picked up my spring suit as it was v cold and only had shortie with me. Back to beach and rigged. No white horses but launched (7.15) and planing almost immediately. Wind filled in(if a bit gusty) . Fastest hour (20kts ) started a few minutes later while sailing with Elmo. wind looked to be picking up at 9 ish but dropped away. next 4 hours was a mixture of slogging an planing. V hard work. Had terrible pain in bicep, thought I would have to stop then realised it was my wetsuit. Change into shortie and spent the rest of the day cold wishing the sun would come out.

Wind then filled in and a couple of times I tried 84lt JP but never got comfortable ( wind too gusty and went back to the trusty Isonic)

Love the Isonic, I could have sailed for longer but ran out of daylight, it was dark as I left but I had beaten 150Nm which became my target. Third fastest hour was the last hourCool. Water as flat as it gets and plenty of windCoolCool

To indicate how the wind went my 6th fastest hour was 13kts and I was sailing for 614 minutes..... a few pretty slow hours in there.

Today my knuckles and soles of my feet are sore. NO INJURIESCool. It has been a while since I sailed without injury! Wind generall se but for a few hours in the afternoon swung more southerly hence the longer tracks.

Decrepit: the conditions were great, I have had far harder days doing less distance. When the tide is right the SE/E blowing into cox bay produces beautifully smooth waterCool.

I am confident we can do more...... but may be when it warms up a bitWink
