Bender (19030km): Glory Holes WSW 10-25knts F2 SX XL(AKA Pong Table), Iso86 and F2MissileS, RSR 7.2m, 40cm choco weedy, 34GW, 28LE pointer Nice fun sesssion with some fellow MM's and a "Soft River Mob" ring in Had a couple of NM long drags with Elmo and Evets, Glad i could keep up. Good long runs accross the wind in nice smooth water. Would have liked to sail longer but the freezing cold and numbs hands got me in the end. Did one run on the missile and got a 30.76 on the dial, Plugged in the Iso86 but i wasnt powered up enough. Jumped on my favorite "PONG" . All top speeds/95% distance were on Pong. Very happy to get a 34out of PONG again. Good to have some fellew speed sailors out at my local(Now to be known as Glory Holes" NOTE: RULER IS JUST OVER 3NM LONG
evets (10573km): Excellent session with Bender, Elmo, Decrep and Snides. had left 5.8 at home so 6.7RSSII, ISO 105, 31 JP weedy hour was the plan but killed by a huge squall. Had a wonderful time, gybing felt great but not pb
4 27kt NMs, consistent but not fast

Hardie (20239km): Tabou manta 64 Gaastra Vapor 6m 33cm weed Couldn't get into it, 20 mins was enough, 5 to 25kts. Well done to the boys who went to Bunbury!!!!!!!!
Elmo (15665km): JP Supersport pro 100L, NP RSS MkII 7.2m, JP Freeride weed 36cm Went down to have a look at Bens Back door and check out his Glory Hole this morning Almost flagged it as wind reading looked marginal and was feelinga bit sad with a headache, but a phonecall from Ben convinced me otherwise. Got down there just before the boys abandoned me to do a run whilst I rigged up, watched them go, holy snappin duck poo they disapeared on me Hmmmm no fannying around rigging today. Even though it was Farken cold down there the wet wetsuit didn't hurt in anticipation, hit the water took of, first run a double Yyyyyeeeeaaaahhhhhaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh run cracked a lazy 28.6Nm and it wasn't even half the length of the run. Houston we have wood The day wasn't without incident though had 3 of's. The first going powered up into a gybe managed to rehook just before flipping the sail, splat. The second we had a wee bit of a squall come through I gave Ben indication of how strong the wind was when I got slammed by it, ended up having to 5 min sit down in the water holding the kity down as the rain came down horizontaly. The last was coming back from a solo run, thought I'd gybe around in front of the carpark in the deep water which they boys had told me about, what they failed to mention was that the sand from the hole was actually piled up around it, I found this out when my 36cm fin decided it needed a bit more than 25cm of water and gave me a good splatter for all the boys to giggle about Managed a few more drags with Ben before a shoulder cramp made me blouse out Found out when I was in the shower a nice big fin cut to one of my toes, thankfully the cold was that good I didn't bleed or feel it till I defrosted. Fantastic morning out on the water, definately going to have to poke around Bens glory hole again
Decrepit (22059km): What a fun morning, so much for it being too marginal!!!!
Used the Thommen 59, Lightning 6.0 and Herby's moded fin, well powered up on this for the whole hour. After getting catapulted on a big weed patch, shouldn't have delayed to warn snides off, might have got a 22 hr. I was lucky to be ahead of the big squall/white-out that engulfed every body else, looked prettyu freaky having this great black wall chasing me down the course.
Edit, went for a bit of a run in the bay on my wave gear, added a few more Ks, was really nice to get back on a board that turns, but didn't improve my alphas, runs were too short and not going fast enough
Craw (3644km): Quick sail down at melville in the shallow tide , nearly run aground a few times then got a few runs in a mild rain squall.startin to get used to the new board. jp slalom v 68,7.8rsr,40 chocco
man of (2851km): Had a nice sail at Novara.7.3 mtr 100 ltr comfy ride in the chop board. Breeze up and down but some great fun. Then I spoke to Hardie and he told me about his 40 knts on Thursday. Fantastic!-the stuff of ledgends! He wants to be addressed as the "Grand Poobaa" from now on |
