Fantastic sail down at Woodies with PD, John Norton, Ado and Lao shi.  very consistently 36+ on the dial but couldn't crack 37 today.  CA SP50, Koncept 5.8, Falcon 28.  Could have handled more sail down the run but I don't have the fitness to handle it back up.  I remember now why I used to enjoy Woodies 23 years ago (that is how long since I was there on a speed board).

Woodies again. Lots of SRMs and a Pinna [Mark]

Rigged the new 2010 5.7 Koncept - very nice but undercooked on the run quite a bit. Also dusted off the old 52cm Kinetic Centurion - still a sweet speed board! 28 Tectonics Falcon fin.

Like Whitey, got a dozen or so 36+ kt displays and couldn't get more than 2 in the low 37s. Consistent if nothing else.

Norts was absolutely blazing - looks completely dialed on his kit - well done John - Congrats on the PBs. Well done too Ado - Great team effort with Snides to hopefully back up Nic's Alpha. Whiteyss first run at Woodies for 22 years! The year I took his avatar pic!

Peli pt slalom great racing in testing conditions sorting out the men from the boys and it seems most boys opt out and go flat water sailing.    IS86, 5.9CR, 32 Choco.

OK due to some expert advice ive downgraded the alpha due to spikeyness... still happy with the PB especially given the conditions at pelican point.

Iso 86, 5.8 RSS mk ii 32 CA GT31

will need to try harder to for 25 alpha on flatter water...

in the spirit of good sportmanship and healthy competition, i will no longer be a trackpoint pretender...

Made it late to peli for a quick blast.
Woodies looks like it was the spot.
The weed in close was a horrible surprise.
Once again sailed like a total drongo rarely getting sheeted in.

Woodies - nice and windy again. Had a few goes at alphas but I guess they all missed proximity!

North Warp F2009 6.3, Manta 49, KA/Lockwood 23.

Have edited the alpha to Doppler - which was faster than TP on this one.

Nice going Chris and Whitey.

Chris I had added divisions to Realspeed (edit, ad division) so I can see several alpha data sets for 52, 54, 56, 60 70 metre proximity. This allows me to see if prximity is the issue and how close I getSmile Realspeed is not noticeably slowed by this and since the 1 hr calc was fixed I love how quickly RS calcualtes.

Great work John on two very impressive PBs - you were the King today! I can't believe you keep coming so close to the elusive 40 - but the good thing is it keeps you coming back for more! You were well ahead of the pack today - especially on the  5 x 10, which is the real indicator.

PD got me by 1/100th on the 5 x 10. I can't believe how often our speeds are within 100ths of a knot!!

Congrats also to Stringer (you said you'd be happy with 23!) and a very solid 5 x 10 from Whitey!

That's a Woodies PB for me on the 2 sec.

Evet, thanks for that - I had a 26.73 (doppler) alpha at 60m - with an entry speed of 35.62 knots! I wouldn't have checked that if not for your comment.

Hey JC, the machine was having fun at the races at Peli... geez he's quick!

Congrats to Recycle, Stringer and Whitey for the PB's, they're very difficult to achieve in a team with such a high baseline.  Well done guys!

Great PB's team-

and Recycle we spoke sunday about the magic 40- sounds like the "have fun attitude" is improving your speed- maybe a you need a new avatar- how about "Relax"?

thanks snides for your advice, its a bit like the banned olympic swimsuit and the validity of the (smashed) world records. Im with Eamon... i know it sounds rough but strip them of their medals, and send them to east germany i say :)
