South Ramp Kyeemah - Wicked fun and a great way to start Xmas break. NE - 20 - 30 knots

JP Freestyle Wave 92, Hellcat 5.7, Mean lines 30 fin. Pretty bloody chuffed with that speed.

anywhere between 10-35 knots today. Still too much north to have perfect conditions but still not too bad. Quickest run was down next to runway unhooked as I wasn't prepared to face the prospect of spinout at speed hooked in.

Drops 8'10", Koncept 5.0 and Goldwing 29.

Tim congrats mate, great speeds for out in the middle there today.

Kyeemagh 25-30 NE gusts over 30

JP Slalom 84, NP Alpha 4.7, 26cm Select Elite

Wow, what an angry wind! It was almost like a westerly gusty with 30+ knot bullets. On the water from 2-4. Had to stop early due to my neck seizing up during a drink break. I must have looked quite silly derigging with my head jammed to the right. I had a couple of runs on the runway, but just wasn't comfortable with a bad neck.

narrabeen lake, 5-25knots

JP Slalom II 94, JP 34cm slalom fin, RSR Evo II 7.0

One of the few days a north easter gets into the lake, had a good sail until 3 when it got a bit too patchy. A couple of the locals were setting a cracking pace.

Didnt stop two tree's from being blown over, one landing on a cab driving along the parkway

Quick Xmas Eve sail after work. Bloody windy and gusty. Overpowered on a 6.7, few gusts of "Jaysus".

Lots of the boys out already.

Probably the best weather vane, pick me up and slam me catapult Ive ever had. Was all set, accelerating on a big gust and got hit by another bigger one just as I went up the back of a big chop line. Just picked me up about 3 feet, the board landed leeward rail down and being hooked in I had no option. Just got smashed, landed on the rail of my board then ragdolled into the mast.

Took the wind out of me and felt like being run over. Floundered back to the shore. Most gave it a 10!!!!!!!! Thanks for the Coopers Pete.

This morning my ribs are sore, painful back muscles and a right shoulder that doesnt work.

JP Slalom Pro V, RSR Evo I, 34cm JP Gen III fin.

Thanks, its was a pretty good fun.

Got down early and was packing up when I saw you head out. The 5.7 was not to bad, could have sailed on less for sure but I think it lifted a little once I came in.

Hey Tim,

Are you still out on the water? I'm looking at your tracks and in the bottom right hand corner is a line that just stops. So I'm guessing you're either sitting on the water and using a waterproof puter to post, or you lost your gps in that spot (which you can't have done cause you've posted) or your battery ran out. Or you got dropped there by helicopter and that was your first run of the day. Or the wine I am drinking is really really starting to blur my vision and I'm seeing things...Undecided

Saw Larko down the 'Goon (aka Lake Dangerous)  & he reckons he may have a 40kt PB Surprised

But apparently it's a spike at an elevation of 3-4m above the water as a bear-away on a gust turned in to a double forward catapault.

(picture it!!Wink)

The resulting landing almost emptied the lake!

And re-defined Bump & Jump as "Bump & Dump"

I missed seeing it, but was there to administer medication afterwards (Coopers Green) as he had a broken batten & a wery, wery sore rib.

Grant reckons his weight belt (????Wink) protected his ribs from more damage

Merry Christmas everyone....waiting for big kids to get up (hangovers)

Good stuff guys.  Tim, you are getting way too fast, especially on a freestyle wave board - imagine what you could do on a speed board!

Seano, great work mate, I'm sure you still have a shed load of speed left in you given the right conditions.

Larko, that musta been pretty mate, wish I'd seen it.

Ads nice pb on the distance buddy. That's my goal for this hols, I wanna distance pb.

it was a fun day on the lake, tail walking above 35knots would be even more fun..

Hopefully there's a few more nor-easters like that one at the lake this summer, some more pb's would be nice, they are starting to become a bit hard to come by..

Well done Seano, nice speeds mate! Hey, it's been on the cards now for a while. No wind up here & I can't believe it! I'm actually looking forward to getting back down to Botany and the Lake even, to try and chase down Bossman(the super hero racist), Rexy, Larko, you and Tim (my Layland bother) on my Christmas pressie. She wants to fly but despite what the sales brochure claims, still needs windWink

Thanx Rexy but I feel, when you can't go any faster, the least you can do is try and cover some territory trying! Sorry Seano, no sign of the sail up here. Geroea might be worth a shot though? Happy boxing day to all, see ya all, in the new year, so have a good oneCool
