LOCATION:  ANGLING CLUB/ AREA 44

SAILORS:  ANDREW

WIND:  W 10-20 SHIFTING WSW 15-30 KTS..LOW TIDE- INCOMING

GEAR:  Excite Ride 135, 38cm fin down to Excite Ride 110 32cm fin, KA Koyote 5.3

DETAILS:  Waiting,,,,waiting,,,waiting,,,the forecast had a big SW hitting at lunchtime but when arriving it looked really light.

Rigged anyway but after about an hour, started to rig the big stuff (Koyote 7.4).  Almost as soon as the sail was ready the wind came up but it had heaps more West in it initially.  Surprisingly the direction was great for the bottom end of the strip and the fastest runs of the day were before the wind shifted WSW.

Highlight for me was doing a fantastic face plant and somersaulting over the sail..and then surfacing to see Andrew smoking past at 37 knots..man....that was quick!

The 110 felt good although I didn't jump onto it til late in the session.  Probably a bit buggered to really get a feel foor it.

Great numbers Andrew...I must say I'm chuffed with my 1 hour- happenned early in the day before the wind went SW.

I also checked the angle and I was closer to 110' than I have been previously, particulary where that "split" was at the bottom end of the run- where you could bear off more, or run tight along the original strip.

Great numbers guys, congrats on the PBs Andrew. That's a terrific top speed. Looks the wind is back in and around Melbourne.
