Another wet and windy night in another expensive campsite just outside Wells for £15 per night - so in two nights in Norfolk it cost us more than 18 nights in France which cost us not a penny and we stopped in some fantastic spots !!! So like the whole of the UK Norfolk is not very camper friendly :( as for the £5 a day to park makes for an expensive days windsurfing.
Arrived at the water at the water at 8.30 and the locals were out with 4/4.5 and it seemed windy so went with my 5.2 but the wind was very up and down and the sea a mess in front of the lifeboat house but got my fastest time.
Went in changed to the 6.4 as the wind was dropping and was abit better,I will take my freeride gear next time and play in the waves as I not think this is a great direction for going fast with the sea being so'oooooooo choppy.I don't know if the dredging for the windfarm boats has messed up the sailing abit ??? but you could not relax and enjoy the sailing as the water is very shallow and I followed one of the locals and we both run aground big style :(
So this was not the Wells I remembered and it might be better in a west for sailing fsat in the channel and waves in a north ??? but the locals were very friendly even if the weather was poor - not winter already ???

Wind came through better than forecast this morning so I went to the lake again for a quick bonus session.  Not as sunny but a bit breezier than yesterday so went out on the Slalom 68 for the first proper session.

As yesterday I thought conditions were perfect for a crack at my hr PB so that was what I went for sailing up between the trout farm and dam on 1km runs.  Think I just improved it and considering that I was off the plane quite a few times waiting for gusts after gybing I reckon a 20kt av is possible at Rutland one day.

Board felt awesome so that is 2 great days this weekend on both my new boards and not a single gybe dropped. Great stuff!!
