Veeeeeeeeeeery windy, gusty and choppy at Dorans.
Well a tough day on the water for me, it was probably the hardest conditions I’ve sailed in so far. It was still great fun, a good experience and a big learning curve that's for sure. Felt like I learnt a lot from today so that was good. Got the new 4.7 sail out today and new RDM 400 mast (thanks Damo), so it was good to give them a whirl.

Woooooooooooooohoooooooooooooo 40 at last.
Someone sign the papers quick I have finally qualified. Down at Henty with the crew on the best forecast for ages, sole purpose was to do some N miles but today ended up very broad and for the wind strength was a pity we couldnt get many runs in but hooked into one decent hail squall that swung the right way, couldnt see the bank and just went for it, ended up in some nasty following swell/chop and the fin come out and let go long enough to get untidy about 200 m short of a preety quick Nm.
Should be some more fine postings from the others.

5126 days ago 1 categories A great day at henty, only one really one good squall and i only just got the end of it so my speeds were not the best.Any way very happy with my NM pity it didn't swing back to west when it built other wise we would of had way better NM's.well done on some other fantastic PB's guys.

5126 days ago Wow Henty is the spot for a NM. Slowed down to 23 knots due to the hail and i could not see a single thing in my NM run hitting 40+ both sides of that. It made me feel like my lips were bleeding. Sorry johno just nipped you but well done on a great PB, you have earn't it.Well done to the other's on there PB's as well.

Great to have five people sailing Henty today. Not winter, but still rain and hail (and some sunshine). High expectations, but just missed the main squall that came through. Still very happy to get a reasonalbe NM and some consistent runs (albeit under-powered and very broad) and cannot wait to go back!
Well done Johno on getting 40 - you have joined the club!
Well done Perks on your NM - awesome.
The best is yet to come ..., hopefully he will be posting soon
All my scores were using Severne Reflex 6.2 and Starboard iSonic 86 with Venom 28cm. Tried some runs with the W49, but don't think it added to my scores (maybe a few of the 10 seconds).

Awesome fun today! Played around on the slalom for a while then took out the new second hand CA44(thanks Perks). Managed one run on it in the same squall as Johno. Unfortunately span the fin during the last half and dropped back to 30 for a couple seconds and only got back up to 36 before the end of the mile. Still, I think I'll just have to settle for that low NM
I can't wipe this stupid smile off my face.
