Started hurt, finished more hurt. Incredibly painful effort to test the toe out. Just too sore to get into the back strap. Ok on the front strap though. Gave it a couple of knocks which convinced me to give it up.

Didn't help being rigged too big on the 7.0 RX1.

Met Troutty and Somepunk and saw Benny. Put to shame by all, but i thought i'd post for a laugh.

No more sailing until healed. Team should get some ok numbers today though.

Jpsalami84,5.4battered lightning,30cm

started sailing noticed small nick in batten sleeve half way along upon inspection saw batten was broken, only sail in the car so whats a boy to do, that's right keep on going.

Had a good session, some good runs to test the tecnique. starting to feel more comfortable, still struggle with back strap practice, practice.

wind started to fill in later so thought I wouldn't risk the sail(camber and batten stuffed by this stage).

happy,happy,happy. except for the sailCry

Peli point. Met Baldy,Somepunk and Trouty on a day I thought would be more suited to Formula. Got that wrong!

Rigged 7.5 Overdrive and proceeded to get thrown over the handlebars at least 20 times in the following 3 hours. Just couldnt get into the back strap quick enough. Bloody great day though.LaughingLaughingLaughing

Typical selfless devotion by Baldy for the team, but it needs time mate, so from me, take it easy from one who has suffered same fate.  Great to see you backed all those PB's from ray gun.Cool

Hey Anita

well...it's broken. Smile

Gotta suck it up and deal with it. Nothing you can do for it - except don't kick it - it hurts.

And after today, don't sail with one. he he.

Rapt to see 5 pbs.Like i predicted, heaps to come. Go Wannabees!!

I feel ya baldy, I can't even bend my big toe at the moment, probably sprained. Got a lump almost the size of a small marble in another. Hope yours heals up swiftly Smile

Great pb's too guys! Cool

Now Snake, it's bad enough with you constantly breaking gear.

You are not allowed to break yourself!

Anita, middle toe fortunately. Bad enough though. Nothing to do, just plug on. :)

Breaking gear is too expensive. At least the body heals. Hurt the wallet or hurt the body? Hmm.

Some advice from my experience Baldy - hope it helps.

The more time you can spend sitting or lying with your foot elevated the less it hurts when you walk. When the pain comes back get that foot up again if you can.

Wear a sandal to bed to stop the bed clothes putting weight on your toe.

Tape around your toe to apply some pressure to minimise swelling (but don't make it too tight!). Otherwise your toe will stay big and fat forever.

Good going Ray Gun and JC2 on the PBs. Sounds like a great day for all (except maybe Baldy - hope it gets better real soon). I wish I could have been there.

Ahh, warm and fuzzys from the sympathy. :)

Look at all them PBs coming in.

Anita, all under control - except the sandal in bed.

Keeping the foot up definitely is the way to be. No throbbing then.

Regripping my S-Type today, while drinking anesthetic/pain killers/bourbon&coke so should be rearing to go in a week or so.

Hi Team, we are currently ranked 13th Australian Team for the month. and 9th or 10th in a few categories. So if you want a "MISSION" and are willing to accept it- go for 2 sec pb, 10s av or distance.

It would involve pb's for most of the team, but with 4 days left it might be a bit of fun to try for 10th or 11th.

I reckon we could maybe get 13th in 2011, that would be a significant jump from 2010's 18th. IMHO with our new sailors, our speedsters, sailing often, sharing knowledge and our enthusiasm- Can we do it?- YES we can!.

South Beach Slalom- see you there this coming Saturday

Hey Toby, i think you're right. we have a good chance of making top 10 in a few cats, maybe even overall.

Doing well in 3 cats right now.

Once my status as "drinks b!tch" has changed, i'll be ready for some numbers chasing.

Tobi jedi captain

If we can get all the injured warriors back and the young guns sailing regularly we are a chance to go right up the table.

If the wind blows today I am into it ,got the arvo all freed up

Have ordered myself one of those Nude speedmachines and it should be ready anyday now....so hope to put in some good 2secs and 10sec av.

COME ON HUEY!!

SOME REAL WIND PLEASE

Good stuff slappa - hope you get there.

I'll just be pushing my slalom gear as hard as i can. 35 is my aim at the moment, but significant improvement in all cats is the go.

mission accepted we all have our own goals but focus the same, improvement.

my challenge to hit 30+

like your boldness and confidence slappa, like some girls you see at the pub, nothing is made from unobtanium.

If my wife reads this that is only a figure of speech.

Sounds like the team are focused on moving up the table. Count me in, top 10 here we come. I don't care which category I improve on, I'm going to make a call about the days focus depending on the conditions (and how much time I have available). Now if only the wind will cooperate with the days I can make it to the river.
